Kiss Me

"Peyton, what did you need to say?" Rowan asked Peyton with concern in her voice.
"You know how we kind of...you know...clicked in the middle of the series?" Peyton hinted while Rowan tried to think.
Why would Peyton Meyer talk to me? She wondered.
"Yeah. Go on," Rowan urged. Here it goes Peyton thought.
"Rowan Eleanor Blanchard, you've completely turned my life around. I don't know what I'd do if I would have never met you. You're the light of my life! Every morning, when I wake up, I think about you. I don't care if you're eighteen. I know what I'm feeling now. I'm in love with you!" Peyton confessed as Rowan sat there with a smile and tears running down her face.
"Peyton Graham Meyer, how could you love me? I'm insecure, immature, and I'm not good for you," Rowan said with tears streaming down her face.
"Rowboat, why would I care about your flaws when all I see is this beautiful, young, talented girl sitting in front of me with everything that I could want? You're the Nemo to my Dory, Row," Peyton admitted as he was trying to be cheesy!
"Aw, you're so cheesy," Rowan laughed when Peyton looked at her.
"Rowan, do you love me back?" Peyton asked as he reached for Rowan's hand.
Peyton, I don't know what love is, let alone if I know how to feel it. I really, really, REALLY like you, but I don't know if I'm in love or love you just yet," Rowan cried. Peyton pulled her onto his lap.
"What do you feel right now in this particular moment?" Peyton asked.
"A bulge in your pants," Rowan laughed. Peyton was shocked at Rowan's response. She had never said that to him, but he found himself laughing like crazy with her.
"I'm serious, Row," Peyton breathed as he looked Rowan in the eyes.
"Pey, I have this feeling deep down in the pit of my stomach. I don't know if it's butterflies or nerves, but it makes me anxious you know," Rowan admitted. She really wanted him to kiss her. She wanted to be more than friends. Last year, she had dated Tanner Buchanan, who played Charlie Garner. She broke up with him after they had been together six months because she caught him cheating on her with Olivia Stuck. She called Peyton that night and he comforted her. They got caught up in the moment and kissed. They hadn't talked about it since.
"Rowan Eleanor Blanchard, do I have permission to kiss you?" Peyton asked with a grin on his face. Rowan laughed.
"Why of course you may!" Rowan replied in a British accent. So, Peyton leaned forward and kissed Rowan softly on the lips. She responded immediately. She had never felt this way before, so it confused her yet excited her.
