I awake to my head pounding and a white light shining harshly right into my eyes.
"I see you are awake Alice." A familiar voice comes from the corner.
"Yeah... Hi Aggie." I always call our nurse by her real name, I have spent many hours in here, "What happened?"
"You slipped, or tripped, One of the witnesses carried you here. Said to tell you 'He didn't like his trip to Wonderland.'" I roll my eyes, " Look at my nose sweetie." Aggie is now right in front of me, flashlight in hand, sending the glowing ray of bright yellow towards my eyes.
"Just like him, you know, I don't even get it. If God exists why put this jerk of a kid in my life just to make things worse, I mean seriously! He never stops! Yesterday my Uncle gave him a job at Wal-Mart. Then made me train him. Today he trips me, and now I am sitting in the nurses office with a horrible headache and it's his fault." Well more like my clumsiness' fault but he had to be there too?
"Sounds like you have got a bad case of the Hates. What makes you hate him so much Alice?"
"Everything about him, I just. Ugh!" I fall back onto the hard leather, sort-of reclined dentist's chair and examine the ceiling.
"Well you have a slight concussion, so I would recommend going home and sleeping. You can come back to school tomorrow if you don't feel thick nausea, or dizziness in the morning, or vomit during the night."
"Thanks." I begin to grab my keys from my back pocket and crawl off the chair, but Aggie stops me.
"Ah-Ah-Ah! Where do you think you are going?" My purse is now slung over my shoulder.
"Home."
"No driving for you Alice, I will call your parents."
"Please no! My dad just left again today, and my mom is already worried sick about him! Plus she is at work! Don't! Please!"
"Well there is one other option, but only because he is my grandson."

"Could you slow down or I might puke all over your perfect car." I look at the MPH meter and we are at a hundred miles and hour.
"Fine!" Caleb replies from the drivers seat.
I growl slightly under my breath and tilt my head against the cold glass window, I still can't believe Aggie gave birth to total imbeciles mother. What went wrong?
We get closer to my house and are soon in front of it but he doesn't slow down.
"Slow down! What are you gonna make me do, drop and roll?" I shout over the loud roar of the engine.
"Eager to leave are you?"
"Please! I am feeling nauseous... I did get a concussion you know!"
"Oh don't be such a whimp!"
"A whimp? You are the one being a whimp! I am serious though if you don't turn back and drop me off, your car is going to be covered in my breakfast!"
"Jeez! Don't be so dramatic!"
"Don't be so dramatic!" I mimic his tone of voice, sounding like a child.
"You are such a baby!"
"Well you aren't so perfect yourself!" I can distinctly point out something more than anger in my voice as my mixed emotions I have felt since the moment I met him bubble out, I imagine my face going bright red and steam curving out of my ears like in cartoons.
