The sunshine hit her small but beautiful face as she walked to the window. She had never felt so happy watching the grass dance when a cool gentle breeze swept through it or the birds flying all in circles and the clouds making all kinds of shapes.
She walked over to her plain brown drawer and opened it. She took out a plain hair brush and ran it through her long dark brown hair while she hummed a song that she didn't remember where she had heard it.
"Morning Shona."
"Morning Doctor Amy," she giggled.
"Haha ,I wish. How are we feeling today?"the nurse asked.
"Great!"she said throwing her hands in the air.
"Well I can see that. I'm going to miss you,you know!"
"Miss me?"
"You're going home today,isn't that why you're happy?"
"No,it is great news but I didn't know, "she said running to nurse as she hugged her tightly."Aww I'm going home Amy,I'll remember everything now!"
"You will, wait till you see who came to take you home!"she said with big smile on her face.
"Who is it?Tell me,please! What if I don't remember them?"
"You'll be fine, Shona. Now you need to remember to take your meds."
She said as she walked out to give Doctor Lane and Shona's family time to chat.
"So I'm going home!"she said to the doctor who heard the concern in her voice.
"Yes,dear. You're well enough now, anyway you all have my number,"she smiled quickly as if she were pretending to be happy.
As they left,Shona didn't say a word. It felt strange to see a man whom everyone referred to as her boyfriend yet she didn't even remember anything about him. She felt angry at her self for forgetting the man she loved, a man who did not move on without her but waited. As they got into her mother's new silver voxel,she felt a big lump in her throat and tried so hard not to cry. Slowly , they fell one at a time. She wished all this had not happened on such a beautiful sunny day, a day with such good weather.
"That's odd." Charles muttered as he closed his window.
"What is?" Kate asked as she scanned Shona with her view mirror.
"It's raining now. The weather just changed from nowhere. Look there are even dark clouds spreading across the south!"he said pointing to the sky.
Shona looked out the window and felt warmth in her heart.(atleast the weather aint that good afterall) she thought to herself. Wishes do really come true.
"Charles, I will remember you,I promise."
"Baby,its okay honestly,nomatter what I still love you,don't worry to much about remembering, lets focus you on what we have now!"he said as he turned his head, grabbed her hand and kissed it smoothly.
"Lets do that. "
