Anna's P.O.V

I held mom's hand so tight that she might have been bruised by now, but she didn't react at all cause she was equally scared as i was.... We were waiting for Sam to continue Dr. Samantha Mathews. 
"Can you just tell it Sam?!!" Mom half yelled..... 

"Actually Jane, Anna's condition is getting worse than before, her skin is not responding to the meds that i have given  and also the count of her WBC's are decreasing which is not a good sign as they are the ones who help fight the cancer cells and act as a shield  towards anti bodies. So we will have to keep Anna here for a couple of days to perform a complete  test regarding this just to be at the safer side."  I was dumbstruck!! That was a hell lot of science 😜.   "Will she be alright Sam? Mom asked in a very low tone.  "Yes Jane.... It's just a couple of tests and we do not want to take any risk regarding Anna's life... Do we?, So just trust me. It would be good if she could get admitted now, we can start the procedure early.  Everyone in the room looked at me suddenly.... I awkwardly said "Ok".

Mom and dad walked me to the room, when the door opened, my jaw fell. Was i in a hospital or outer space? The room was dark, well obviously, painted completely like galaxy! There weren't any windows, and it was lit up in dim and dark shades of blue, black and white. "What's wrong Anna?" Sam placed her hand on my shoulder. "Do they always have such a fascinating room for patients in the hospitals." I asked,  Sam looked at me puzzled. I mentally slapped myself. "No dear, it's just for people like you cause sunlight is something we can't afford right😉 so a mini galaxy for you! I quickly did a room tour, the bed was like any other normal hospital bed and there was a bell next to it, in case of some emergency i guess and the best part was the painting!! When the lights are switched on it looks like a normal white room but when the lights are turned off.... Daaammnn!!! Freaking Universe!! I went further  and sat on the couch; mom decided to stay back with me while dad wanted to take a nap so he left.
I changed into the clothes/hospital night gown! they provided me with, the nurse came in with a syringe and a bottle of something  that you hang upside down. C'mon i just entered high school, how am I supposed to know all that science!?  
She asked for my hand to put in the needle but my hand was already bruised cause of that incident the other day so she couldn't find any place to prick that in. "I'd rather give you the tablet than this." Having said that she left.  I had dinner while mom went and spoke to Sam about i don't know what.  While all this my phone rang and I picked it up without looking who was it,  "WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU????"  A voice almost tore my eardrum. I quickly glanced at my phone and saw, it was Maddy!! Oh shit!! I completely forgot!! "I'm extremely sorry Maddy i was bout to call you but was a bit pre-occupied."
"PRE-OCCUPIED??!" She yelled, "you  were 'pre-occupied' to inform me that you are at the hospital"
"How....how'd you know??" I stammered.
"Well if you do not tell me, someone will; your dad told me, i had been to your house." She complained.
"Ohh, anyway Maddy.. Calm down it's just a small procedure of tests....nothing else." I assured her.
"I'm coming over." She exclaimed.
       "Ok". I said without arguing further. 
Maddy drove in around 15 mins and reached my ward cum amaazing room😍.
"Woah!!!!" Maddy half yelled while entering. "Am i in a hospital or what?!"
"Yeah i was amazed at first too" i added. "It's for people like me, no sunlight or windows, so all this." 
"So how long are you here?" Maddy asked.
"I don't actually know cause Sam didn't specify the day I'm getting discharged"
"A week i guess." Mom told.  "Mrs. Smith you can go home if you please, I'm staying here tonight with Anna...."  
"But your mom...?" I interrupted. 
"Dont worry bout here I've taken permission, so i can stay."
"But I really don't want to leave you alone here Anna" mom told.   "Don't worry mom, I'm not alone at all..... This is a hospital for jeez sake, there's no way I'm going to be alone.... Secondly i have this precious soul Ms. Maddison Evans with me so u need not worry mom".
"Yes Mrs. Smith I'm here with Anna, you go get some sleep and come back here in the morning." Maddy reassured mom. "Ok then, but please gimme a call if any emergency, I'll be there."
"YES MOM !" Both of us told in a teasy tone.
"Bye sweethearts, and take care. Remember this is a hospital after all..... No misbehavior!!" Mom said while she pecked a kiss on our forehead.

After mom left, Maddy went down and bought some chips and chocolates from the local grocery store nearby. When she returned, she suddenly jumped on the couch and started munching those while telling......
"Oh my god Anna, you won't believe what happened at the date the other day!"
"Oh yes!, what bout your date with Jim??, I completely forgot bout that!!" I jumped in.
"Yes.... Wait. Let me complete..... That guy Jim is a complete jerk! He burps after drinking soda!! Like eewww. Which grown up man does that!?!!! "
She still is the class A over- hygienic freaky friend of mine.
"He doesn't have the basic knowledge on how to behave when on a date!"
"He pulled the chair and sat on it himself..... And I was standing there just staring at his stupid face!, I didn't expect him to turn out so insane on a date!"
"Woah! Maddy, if you so many issues with this guy Jim, why did you hang out with him in the first place?" I answered.
"How was I suppose to know that he would behave like this on a date!!!"
"And you bought that dress to impress this jerkpid!"
I exclaimed.
We spent another hour talking bout her failed date, when finally decided to sleep. Maddy took the long couch and i being the 'Patient' slept on the bed!
I was kinda nervous for tomorrow morning cause didn't have the slightest clue of what sam was going to do!
