Chapter 3- Her Aura

Adrian POV

Right when Ally left, Dylan turned to me. I knew this was coming. He seemed over protective, but not how Ally thought of it. She thought it was brotherly, but I knew better than that. Dylan had a crush on her and he didn't like her around any other guy. To tell the truth, I don't want her around Dylan, he seems too obsessed with her in a stalker way. She just doesn't see it yet, or maybe it's me wishing to find something to keep her away from Dylan.

What Dylan was going to tell me next, was the simplest thing for any one to guess, well, except Ally. He was going to tell me that I should stay away from Ally, that she doesn't belong to me, but news flash ( I sounded like a chick! argh I can't believe my possesive/jealous side is so girly) Ally wasn't his either.

" Look bro, Ally is mine, so don't even think about her. I care about her a lot, and I don't want you getting in the way between me and her. Got that?" Dylan huffed.

" Look bro," I mimicked Dylan. " You're not her boyfriend, so she doesn't belong to you, and she doesn't even look at you that way. You could be mentally undressing her and she would probably think you're looking at her in a brotherly pride kind of way." I said and I saw Dylan huff.

"Yeah, I would have to agree. Plus, I think she is being drawn to Adrian and well, they would make a hot couple." Chase tried to back me up. Thinking about it, we would make a hot couple.

" Just SHUT UP!" Dylan got up and went to bed. That was so pathetic. He couldn't even think of anything else to say besides shut up. Even a baby could say that.

I got up after a little while and went to go to bed too, except I was far from sleepy.

"Hey dude, she's your mate isn't she?" Chase asked. He would know about this too. I sighed.

"Yeah. She's more than I would've asked for." I said dreamily.

"Wait do you know who she is? She's the lost princess. Alex, Maddy, and I have been protecting her for two years now.

I laid there thinking about one thing. Her.

She was beautiful, and during the movie, I think we bonded a little. I hope she gives me a chance tomorrow. Maybe I'll sit at her table, or maybe I will have a decent conversation with her. The way she walks, talks, laughs, even the way she sits and archs her neck a little, made my mouth water, and made me drool.

After an hour of musing over her, I felt tired, but I wasn't ready to give into the night.

My thoughts then hit the main thought that has been buzzing in my head all day.

I know who she was, and she didn't realize it. She was the lost princess and she was my mate.

Because of my ability, of seeing auras that defined people's mood and ranking, I would have been able to figure out her identity, withouth Chase telling me.

Her friends Maddy and Alex had blue auras around them, ranking them as born guardians. And Ally was totally different. She had a golden aura surrounding her. The golden aura was only for royalty. Once this registered, I knew that she was the lost princess of the vampires.

Also, since she was the leader of her small group, that meant Maddy and Alex knew about her too. I had to talk to them in private.

And the reason I knew that Ally was the vampire princess, and not a princess in the human world, was because all humans have red auras marking them as our food.

I was a pureblood vampire so I had a deep violet aura around me, and Ally had a deep violet aura that outlines her golden aura.

I was now thinking harder, because deep violet, and golden weren't the only auras she had. She also had a little bit of red, meaning human.

She was born as a vampire, and she was royalty and a pureblood. But why did she also have a human aura?

spent another half an hour thinking about this when sleep was closing in on me. I tried forcing myself to stay awake because I had the answer.

Ally had a red aura too, because she was a rare case. Her inner vampire wasn't awake yet, and that meant another pureblood vampire had to bite her and then feed her its blood to bring her inner self out.

After this thought I drifted off into a deep and dreamless slumber.
