Chapter 2, Part 1 - There's A Reason

Tia was back in the ever-known Mullingar Park after a month... She had been exceptionally busy due to the fact there was so much going on in her life and it was surprising that she has even found time to go to the park.

She had laid her back lay back on a shaded tree instead of the tall mossy rock she had leaned onto before. The tree was special; it held so many memories of several people who've stayed under it too.

But to Tia, it was there when one of her most treasured memory had been located there....

Because it was shared with her dearest father.

'Tia! You don't have to carry the basket. It's far too heavy for you!' Tia's father laughed, looking at his 3-year-old daughter who was wobbling and trying to lift the object filled with their lunch for the afternoon.

'But daddy! I wanna help you!' Tia whined, while pouting sadly.

'You'll be able to help me, sunshine. Just go over to Mum and give her this mat, then you can help get ready the food to eat, okay?'

'Yep yep.' Tia grinned, running off to her mother who sat by a beautiful tree.

'Wow.' Tia said, looking up in astonishment at the Golden Shower Tree in front of her with a velvet picnic mat hanging loosely on her little hand. She stared in awe at the small leaves which shone under the sun, varying in different shades of yellowish-like green.

Its trunk and branches bent slightly to the right, looking like a shower, sprinkling golden-like flower buds at the ends of the bent branches, thus its name.

Her father gave a hearty chuckle. 'I knew you would like it. During the summer season, this tree will have beautiful golden flowers blooming. But I bet they'll never be able to be as gorgeous as my two girls.' He added in afterthought.

Giggling, Tia wrapped her arms around Theo's leg while Luna gave her husband a peck on the lips.

Memories, Tia thought, they never seem to run out.

Just when the 9-year-old was about to stand-up and walk back to her house, she heard a blonde girl around 11; sitting not that far from her, mumbling a few words. At first, Tia didn't really mind it. But the girl started to mumble the words again, a bit louder than before.

The girl had been beautiful, but her eyes stared dully into the distance, overpowering the physical beauty she had. With hands hanging lifelessly on her lap while she continued to mumble words.

Curiosity kicked in, and Tia just couldn't help it. Standing up, she walked toward the direction of the bench and once she walked past the older girl she finally heard the words,

"What is it that you want, but can't get?

What is it that you want, but can't get?

What is it that you want, but can't get?" being repeated over and over quietly by the girl.

Tia kept walking back her home, noticing the almost setting sun, while repeating those words in her head again. There was just something about the question that intrigued her...

So of course, just like the movies, stories, the fanfics, there's always this one moment wherein a character ponders and watches the sun set quietly in the roof as a dramatic effect.
