A New World

Chapter 4

Over the next couple of months, I did nothing but train. I went to a nearby town and stayed in an inn. Every time I thought of Yami no Maebure I was overcome with rage. Making him pay was the only thing that I could think about. As I trained, I had come to notice something weird about the weapon that Eito left me. I came to realize that the sword he left me amplified elemental abilities. I felt stronger than ever. The day to finish what I had started long ago finally came. I was in a field practicing when Daisuke appeared.

"Are you ready?" He asked.

"Yea, just give some time." I said as I breathed heavily.

I walked back to the inn. When I got to the room that I was staying in I changed into the clothes that Eito left me. Daisuke was standing outside the room.

"Let's go," I said as I passed him.

He followed me outside of the inn. As soon as we were outside, we took off toward Kigen.

"What's wrong," asked Daisuke.

"Nothing that concerns you" I replied.

"It kind of does since I'm going into this fight with you."

I ignored his last remark

"Just don't do anything stupid."

I continued to ignore him. I began to see the outline of Kigen. As we got closer, I began to see the dark army that Yami no Maebure had summoned fighting the army of Kigen. They were fighting on the outskirts of the city. We began to move faster. When we got close enough, we jumped onto the battlefield. We both jumped onto the field causing a wave of wind and fire that toppled some of the enemy. One of the Kigen generals ran up to me.

"Good thing you're here, we were getting overwhelmed."

"Happy to help," I replied.

We split up to different parts of the battlefield. I landed my first strike. When I cut one of the Yami no Maebure's demons, it turned into a black mist that eventually disappeared. I began to take down one after another. They attacked relentlessly. The whole time I was looking for Yami no Maebure. The demons tried to pile on top of me but I knocked them all back with a gust of wind. Right then I saw him. He was hovering above the battlefield. He wore all black. Even his katana was covered in black. He wore a jacket with a long tail. His eyes were as black as an abyss. All the rage that I had came to a boiling point.

"Yami no Maebure!" I screamed.

He turned his head to me. He then began to snicker.

"Don't you laugh at me you bastard!"

I dashed at him with everything I had. I moved so quickly that I knocked many of his demons off of their feet. I took a swing at him and when he blocked, a wave of darkness covered the sky for a moment. When the darkness cleared, storm clouds began to cover the sky.

"You seem angry." he asked sarcastically

"You know why I'm angry you coward!" I answered angrily.

I began to swing my blade ferociously. I was consumed by my anger and hatred. He blocked one of my attacks and knocked me back. I tried to go in for the attack again. Before I could reach him, Daisuke stopped me.

"Calm down," he begged.

"Listen to your brother.' Yami no Maebure said from afar.

Out of my way! I said as I pushed Daisuke out of my way.

I tried to attack him again but he continued to toy with me. When I tried to swing again, he knocked my sword out of the way leaving my torso wide open.

"Time to end this," said Yami no Maebure.

He tried to stab me in the chest with his sword. Be the sword reached my chest, Daisuke deflected the attack.

"We'll attack together." Daisuke said.

"Fine," I said eager to get back into the

fight.

I went in for the first strike. When Yami no Maebure stopped my attack Daisuke came flying over me.

"Honō no ha!" He yelled as a blade f fire came shooting out of the tip of his blade.

Yami no Maebure staggered for a moment. I went in for another attack without hesitating. He quickly moved to the right and kicked me toward the ground.

"Summoning, Honō-jū." Daisuke said.

His flame dragon came forth. The dragon began to attacked Yami no Maebure. Daisuke guided the dragon with his sword. The dragon tried to devour him but he used a dark shield to deflect the dragons attack.

"Compact blast barrage," I yelled as several wind bullets came flying from my palms.

When the wind bullets made contact, a massive cloud of dust erupted from the ground. When the dust cleared, I couldn't see Yami no Maebure. He then quickly appeared in front of me. Daisuke jumped in front of the attack and deflected it. Yami no Maebure was sent plummeting towards the ground. Daisuke appeared on the left side of him and I on the right.

"Tawāringu· inferuno," we yelled in unison.

I fired a massive spiral of wind and Daisuke fired a large stream of flames. When they both collided near Yami no Maebure they transformed into a gigantic flaming tornado. The flames began to grow smaller and dissipate. When the flames cleared, there was no sign of Yami no Maebure.

"Watch out," I heard Daisuke scream.

I didn't even have the chance to react.

"Akumu," Yami no Maebure said as he hit me with a massive black orb that sent me flying into the air.

The orb of darkness began to expand until the point I was covered in complete darkness.
