I got a vision of Pierson and Valentine in my head, together three years from now. Valentine wore a short black laced dress and her hair was neatly brushed, her eyes were brown and the choker was gone. Pierson wore a tuxedo, he looked like his normal self, his eyes were grey, his skin was brown and he was tall, only in my vision he was more muscular. They were holding hands and looking at each other the same way that my parents used to look at each other, with unconditional love.
When my vision was over I stood and looked out at the moon, it was a full moon, that'd explain why Valentine was so hungry today, that'd explain why she tried to lure Trey and Pierson into a room, for a feast. We had to find a way to help Pierson unlock his full potential as a Castin or Valentine would die. She'd either die from The Dubane coming to kill her or from her body trying to hard to repress the moon charm that it destroys itself.
The Dubane were the EverBlood that decided that humans were only good for food and sex slaves, and now The Dubane were coming to get rid of any EverBlood that felt different. A few months ago The Dubane came to our home to coax us into going them but Valentine stepped up and called them out, so now they're after her, especially since they know that she is one of the most strongest EverBlood.
And she's also one of the wildest EverBlood, she was so wild that Lily and Darwin put the silver charm around her neck to suppress her werewolf craves and powers, but they didn't know that they wouldn't be able to ever take it off without the powers of the Castin that created it, which was Pierson.
I walked into Valentine's bedroom, she was still asleep and Pierson had gone home an hour ago. I brushed her hair away from her eyes, I focused on Valentine's mind, which was a cluttered and hard place to get into, and slowly her dream started to play in my head, only mere flashes and snips. It was the same dream she always had, she and Pierson were falling from the sky, it was a full moon and she bit his arm, she felt awful and she cried, then they fell to their death. She awoke sometimes in a pool of sweat or she even awoke screaming her lungs out.
She'd awake any minute, most likely screaming. She truly did love Pierson no matter how badly she treated him. She told me that she felt that he'd never forgive her for leaving him without a goodbye. She told me that he was her first love. Even when we moved out of RockFort Valentine's mind was always on Pierson Hope.
Valentine's eyes shot open and she started screaming, I wrapped my arms around her, she shook against my body, I hugged her tight and caressed her head until she stopped screaming.
I'd give my life to turn her into a normal girl, but I can't do that, I don't even have a life, I'm dead.
Hugging Valentine reminded me of when I used to hug Zoe, my younger sister, she used to have nightmares and I'd hug her until she was better. But she died. My entire family died 58 years ago, a man named Eugene came and killed my family, I was asleep in my bedroom and He came inside my home and killed my family. He had a knife against my sisters throat when I showed up, her cut her throat and lunged at me. He bit me and made me a vampire. I was alone and dead on the inside until I met Lily and Darwin Bay. They took me in and treated me like their own. And Valentine reminded me of Zoe ever second that I spent with her.
"Logan," Valentine said. "I think we should let Dawson meet Pierson."
Dawson Bay was Valentine's uncle, he was a Castin and he knew practically everything about EverBlood.
I nodded my head, "Yeah ,I agree." I said, caressing her head.
