Chapter 4
I brought my clothes in a bag ready for ‘my’ date with Robin too. It wasn’t really much... Just Jessie’s ‘going out’ clothes... Like I said, I always wear Jessie’s clothes... Even IF they were a little baggy on me... We both got ready and checked each other out...
“You look beautiful...” He said to me, grinning.
“You look perfect! She’s going to LOVE you!” I replied, excitedly, whilst hugging him.
                              “Thank you!” He smiled.
                              “Are you ready?” I asked.
“Yep.” Robin arrived at Casper’s house for 6:15 p.m. I, Robin and Casper all got into his car. It was only recently that he had past his driving licence. I hated the whole ‘back and forth’ into town and back. We lived at LEAST twenty minutes away from the town centre. We travelled all the way through the village, until we got stopped by the train (once again.) It was hardly ever, we made a full trip without being stopped for ten minutes, sometimes fifteen minutes, by the flammin’ train!
Eventually, we arrived into the town.
“What do we do?” Robin who was wearing a short, red dress with fake tanned legs spoke. She was definitely the more ‘girly’ one. Her hair was curled and put-up to the side. Her make-up was airbrushed, and her eyes dazzled. She just looked so beautiful.
“Well, Casper is going to go in first, aren’t you Casp?” I nudged him. He nodded.
                              “Yes.”
“Then we will go in...” I carried on. Everyone agreed, hugged and Casper walked into the half-decent restaurant.
“I love you,” Robin said to me.
“I love you too.” We kissed and I took her hand like a ‘gentlemen.’ After all, we were going on a date as much as Casper was. We smiled and I walked her in, treating her so special. Time was ticking and by the looks of it, Casper’s date had already arrived before we did. I mean, yeah, she was pretty, but surely she wasn’t Casper’s type... We sat down at the table, not too far away from Casper’s, like he said. As he sat down uncomfortably, he gave her a peck on the cheek and pulled the chair in for her. She seemed so fake! Grr! Why did Casper pick someone like her! She looked too up herself!
“What do you think of her?” I asked Robin.
“Pack it in looking! You’re making it sooo obvious! And yeah, she’s alright I suppose...” She replied. She wasn’t really interested in who other people went on dates with or who other people found attractive. She was quite the opposite of me...
                              “She’s quite ugly,” I lied.
“Can we have our own date, Teddie?”
“Yes, we are baby,” I held onto her hand as she gripped onto mine, and then grinned positively. In the corner of my eyes, Casper did the same. Buzz Buzz Buzz! My phone vibrated. Buzz Buzz Buzz! It went again.
“Answer it,” Robin told me. I looked down, it was Casper imessaging me blank messages and one message saying ‘I don’t know what to do or say! She’s prefect! Thanks!’ I looked over at him and grinned. I ignored it and put my phone away. She was certainly NOT perfect! She’s leading my best friend on! Then she’ll wrap him around her little finger! In the corner of my eyes, I noticed that he was trying to get my attention behind the ‘perfect’ girl’s back! I refused to lip-read and carried on glazing into my girlfriend’s eyes. “Who was it?” Robin asked.
“Casper... He doesn’t know what to say to her, but she’s perfect apparently,” I told her.
“She’s okay... I wouldn’t say ‘perfect.’ Anyway, I’m not interested in them, I’m interested in my beautiful gal,” she plainly said. I told you that she wasn’t interested in anyone else’s business. ‘Gal’ sounded so strange, but her accent makes her talk like this. Although, she was brought up in our village, she has parents who were born and brought up somewhere abroad. I’ve forgot where they were born, but it’s irrelevant anyway.
