"Hey mum, what's up?" I answered my phone, happy for the distraction from work.

"What? Are you freaking kidding me?" I stood up from the desk, accidentally sending the chair flying backwards. "Oh my god...Are you ok...Yeah, well if anyone shouldn't have kids... Yeah, ok. Talk to you soon; try not to worry too much. Love you; tell dad I love him too. Bye."

I sat down, completely in shock. It was a good half hour before I began to function again, pulled out of my stupor by the sound of my phone going off.

I looked down to see a message from George.

Hey sweet cheeks, how's things? I miss you! Xxxx

I paused, not really knowing how to put what I was feeling into words.

Hey hon! I know its been ages! I miss you too! Things are fine, how about you? XXX

Uh oh, what's wrong?

What do you mean?

Fine is how you answer when you're upset but you don't wanna burden anyone with whatever's going on!

You know me too well.

Yes I do. Spill.

Fine – my mum just rang. Apparently my brother had a one-night stand, and has gotten a girl pregnant.

OMG!!!!!

I know! If ever there was a case for sterilisation my brother was it!

Jesus!

Yep.

Are you ok? Are your parents ok? Is she keeping it? Are they together? TELL ME EVERYTHING.

Lol. My parents are ok I think, I'm not entirely sure how I am. She's keeping it, they aren't together I don't think. I don't really know much, I only just found out.

OMG. Look I have to go to work, but message me later when you know more! Or if you need me.

Thanks honey, I will. Have fun at work xx

I spent most of the rest of the afternoon with my brain swirling, barely getting any work done.

"Baby, you home?"

I heard Cole shout my name and walked out of the study.

"Yeah babe" I smiled as I walked into the kitchen and kissed him. "How was the studio?"
"It was ok"

I looked at him, evaluating his face.

"What's going on?"
"Just the Dalton stuff, he's still acting really weird."

"I'm sorry babe," I hugged him. "I wish I could help, but you just have to give him time and space."

"I'm sick of time and space. Time and space has never been my friend. Time and space was what we had when we were apart and that sucked." Cole pouted.

"That was different and you know it."

"Mmmm," Cole mumbled. "Anyway, I just stopped by to tell you that we're probably going to be working late tonight doing the video for Story of My Life/Wake Me Up."

"Oh ok,"

"So don't wait up ok?"

"Yeah sure"

Cole glanced down at his watch. "I gotta go," He leaned down and kissed me. "Love you."

"Love you too." I watched as he walked back out the front door.
