NO LIGHT, NO LIGHT IN YOUR BRIGHT BLUE EYES
I NEVER KNEW DAYLIGHT COULD BE SO VIOLENT.
The doctors, the same ones that appeared in Paisley's daydream or rather, nightmare, had plunged some type of metal arrow into Lucas's chest. Blood splattered everywhere making Paisley's stomach twist and turn in disgust. As the weapon retracted from the body bits of blood traveled along with it. Everybody looked up, the masked murderers looked down.
Paisley's sickly feeling turn to one of anger, of hatred. "Why did you do that?" She whispered, her voice trembling even though she felt confident, she felt strong.
"His condition was terminal." Their voices were robotic, inhumane. "What do you mean?" She spoke as if her words were venomous, as if they could kill the faces of those who haunted her. "What does that mean!?"
"Failure." And with one simple word they walked away, leaving a group of confused teenagers to ponder over what had just happened. How was this possible? Paisley's fear of the masked murderers turned to a state of vexation. She wanted nothing more than to go after them and rip their masks off and beat the shit out of them. She felt her blood pressure rise as her ears began to heat up. "Fuck."
"Come on P, let me- I'm going to take you home." Scott's voice was monotone. "No, we- we have to f-find, we have to find them!" Paisley shook. "P, I need to know you got home safe." He was beyond worried but it didn't show. "You don't have enough room on your motorcycle."
"I'll call my mom."
"I'll walk."
"No, you won't." Liam stood beside Scott, she was his best friend and he wasn't going to let her walk home and potentially get killed by those things. "I want to clear my head." She wasn't going to let this one go, that was until Liam began to bite his lip in order to suppress his tears. Finally she nodded, signaling them to go. "I'll meet you in the front in twenty minutes. Promise." Everyone followed behind Scott, even Brett who wasn't going to get a ride from anyone. Paisley emerged into the crowd, shoving past everybody to find the one person she wanted to talk to- Hayden.
"Hayden." It was like Paisley's voice was the only one that was audible and Hayden whipped her head around, smiling as she saw the girl. The smile on her face was odd to Paisley because not long ago Hayden was ready to kill her. "Hey, where have you been?"
"Umm around, I have to, I have to go. You think you could punch me out?" Paisley was now playing with the hem of her shirt as she nervously moved her feet around. She noticed a drop of blood on the tip of her right shoe and propped the heel of her toe behind the back of her left shoe. "I guess." Hayden was upset she was now working with no one she knew or liked, even in the slightest. "Thank you, it means a lot. I'll make it up to you." An involuntary smiled crept it's way onto Paisley's face.
"I'm counting on it."

Paisley had to drag herself behind Malia and Lydia as they opened the doors to Beacon Hills High. "The Dread Doctors by T.R McCammon." Lydia spoke abruptly as Paisley wiped the sleep out of her eyes. Lydia stopped in her tracks, "What?" Malia asked.
"I don't know, something about it, has anyone actually read it yet?"
"Just me and I didn't understand any of it." Malia was slightly frustrated with herself. "We should probably all read it." Paisley yawned as she spoke, making her words sound more like roars. "Kira's working on that."
"Stiles says he can't find anything on the author he thinks it's a pen name." Malia was explaining while she retrieved books from her locker. Lydia turned the book over to read the description in the back;
