Chapter 1

   Alex's POV
"Help!" I yelled. Of course, I knew that my partner, those criminals, and I were the only ones on this deserted, remote island. They had tied me up to one of their poles that they stick into the ground. Why do they bury these poles in the ground, you may be wondering? I have no clue, but I aim to find out. Of course, I should probably introduce
myself. Yes, I think that might be best. I am Alexandra Landry O'Cklocknee. But, you can just call me Alex. I am the world's best known heroine.  I've saved the mayor from a fire in the grocery store, an elderly woman from a purse-stealing robber, and even president Jill Tourny from getting hit in the head with a bowling ball. (I got a lot of attention from that last one!)  Anyway, you are probably curious of how I got into this situation. So, my partner, Floyd Stencil and I were sent on a top secret mission. This mission was to stop these animal snatchers from illegally poaching rare and exotic animals. My boss's code name is FatCat774 because he loves his fat cat. (I think his cat is a little too fat!) But, the boss hired a new agent who has stolen my code name, which used to be shaggydoggy. So now I have to deal with this mission, think up a new code name for myself, and find out what the point of those poles the poachers stuck in the ground is. And on top of that, Floyd disappeared three days ago when he went to go get us some water from the creek. So right now, I have a lot to juggle. My plan to stop the poachers is to give them a taste of their own medicine.  I am going to  have to touch them three times to activate them, though. I shrugged my shoulders to get a mosquito off my face. "One."
Said a voice. That meant that I had touched them once! I shrugged my shoulders two more times, making it say "Two" and "Three. Your magnets will now activate." Yes! I had done it! I heard a high pitched buzzing noise as my earrings turned on. All these magnetic objects started flying toward me. I ducked and dodged them until the machete came my way.
