Alex's POV
When I went to boot camp earlier this year, they taught us how to catch many things in our mouth with our hands tied behind our backs. Some of the things included tennis balls, stuffed animals, duct tape, and bananas. The only thing I thought might actually be useful was the duct tape. But, now that I think about it a banana is kind of shaped like a machete handle. What are the odds! It's now or never. I caught the machete handle in my mouth and bent down to get the blade down by the rope. Once I'd cut myself free, I couldn't figure out what to do next. I hear the poachers talking about me. "What are we gonna do with her?" the guy they call Roddy asks. Roddy is older... like maybe his late 50s. The other two are Manny and Carl. Carl has curly hair and he looks more like your typical tv-show nerd than anything else. And as for Manny, he looks around 25 or 26. He is small and skinny. So as you can see, none of them are really the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Then, I heard Manny say in the squeaky voice of his "I don't know! Don't look at me! Carl is the smart one!" They both turn to look at Carl. He shuffles his feet and pushes his glasses farther back on his nose. "Umm well maybe we could take her away..." "Take her where, you big dummy!?" Says Roddy. "Let me finish. As I was saying, we could take her back to Lesotho.
Lesotho is a country in Southern Africa. It is a very small country that is nicknamed the donut country of Africa because it is shaped like a donut.
"Good idea" says Roddy. Well I guess that's said and done. But what they don't know is that I have already escaped.
