chapter 27

alex's pov

Its been 2 weeks. 2 weeks since I told riker I wanted a break. 2 weeks since my heart shattered, and the beginning of my lonely days, spent in my room, listening to sad songs. Sofi is here, listening to me cry. "I can't do this sofi." I cry in her lap. "Do what alex?" she asks. "I can't l-live without him. I didn't want a break. It only made it worse." I cry, taking short, heavy breaths. "Then you need to go talk to him alex! I can guarantee you he wants you back more than anything." Sofi says, rubbing my back soothingly. "its not that e-easy." I sob. "Yes it is. I'm calling him and telling him to come over. You two are meant to be, you shouldn't let this get in the way of fate, Alex." Sofi says, dialing Riker's number. "O-ok." I say. If he's coming over, I have to clean myself up. "I'll be in the shower sofi." I say, going into the bathroom.

Sofia's pov:

The phone picks up, and Riker answers. "Hey Sofia." He says. "Hey Riker. I need to talk to you." I say. "Yah me too." He mumbles. "Listen Sofia, I need your help." "Ok? What is it?" I ask. "I've been thinking a lot lately. Alex is the only girl I want, I love her so much its crazy, and I'm asking her to marry me." He says. "Oh my gosh Riker!" I squeal. "Yah." He breaths. "Ok ok. Right now Alex is in the shower, so I'll tell her to dress normal, and meet you, where?" I ask. "The beach." He says. "It's the first place we kissed and I told her I love her." I can practically hear him smiling through the phone. "Ok got it. I'm going to the beach and make it look cute. Tell Rydel to come over here and help Alex. Good luck." I say, hanging up the phone.

Riker's pov:

So it sounds like Sofia has the "making it look romantic" part down, that's good. Now I just have to figure out how to do this without completely crying and shaking. I could barely buy the ring without crying, let alone actually asking her.

I put on black skinny jeans, a blue button-up shirt, and my black converse.

Rydel comes in just as I finish. "Hey." She smiles. "Hey dell. Can you help me with Alex?" I ask. "Yah of course! What is it?" She sits down on my bed. "I need you to go to Alex's and drive her to the beach when I text you I'm ready." I say. "Aww! Of course! I'll get her to dress a little nicer, did you hire a photographer?" She asks? "Yah Sofia is handling it." I smile. "Ok see you later!" Rydel runs out of my room and down the stairs. I hear the front door slam. She's an awesome sister. (a/n: they have this all worked out #squadgoals lol)

Rydel's pov:

I pull up to Sofi's house and walk in. She never locks her door. "Hey Alex!" I yell and head up the stairs. "Dell?" I hear. "Yah!" I walk into her room and give her a hug. "What's up?" She smiles. "I came to cheer you up a bit! Sit down I'm doing your makeup and you are not wearing that." I laugh, looking down at her sweat pants and t-shirt. "Why? Where are we going? I think riker is coming-" "Just sit!" I laugh.

I grab her makeup and start fixing and adding to what she already did. "Delly! Tell me what we're doing!" She laughs. "Well, Riker isn't coming here, so I came for a girls night out!" I say. Of course we're not actually going out, it's not like I'm going to say 'oh yah, Riker's proposing tonight, so I'm making you look less horrific."

After curling her hair a little, I run to her closet and pick out a light grey sweater, black leggings, and black hightop converse. "Put this on." I say, handing her the outfit. She goes into the bathroom and changes. I'm scrolling through twitter when she comes out. "Aw you look so cute!" I giggle and hug her. Riker still hasn't texted me yet, how do I stall? "Shall we go?" She asks? "uh, yah." I say. As i'm walking down the stairs, He finally texts me.

I blast music on the way to the beach. It's so exciting! Riker is proposing! They were meant to be from the start. "Why are we at the beach?" Alex asks, clearly confused. "Just get out and start walking, I have to look for something, i'll catch up." I say. "Ok?" She says and starts walking.
