Fiyero's POV

"So how was life like in the Vinkus?"

Oh Oz, no one has ever asked me about my life in the Vinkus. It was always questions about being a prince or my 'scadalatious' reputation. Never about my life in general. "Well," I began, "it wasn't easy, being a prince and all like most people would think. My life was basically already planned out by the law saying I must do this but mustn't do that. However, I want to live differently than what the law says. I want to live the way I want to live... that's partially why I'm here at Shiz; I've been kicked out of so many other schools. But, actually, I'm glad I was transferred to Shiz because if I would have stayed, I would have never met you." I looked down at her.

How adorable. My beautiful princess fell asleep in my arms. She looked so peaceful and comfortable. I smiled and lightly kissed her forehead. She smiled in her sleep when I did and I couldn't help but smile bigger. "I love you," I whispered against her head.

The air slowly began to get colder and Elphaba snuggled up closer to me. I held her tightly, "I've got you, Fae, I'll keep you warm and safe."

Her eyes fluttered open then she gasped. "What is it?" I asked.

"Oh Oz, I fell asleep didn't I? I'm so sorry. Fiyero, I love spending time with you and this date was wonderful I, honestly, don't know why I fell asleep. Maybe it's just because I felt so safe and comfortable in your arms and... I mean-..." her face started to turn into a darker shade of green.

I chuckled, "Do you always turn a darker shade of green when you blush?"

"When I what?!" She asked shocked and her skin tone grew darker.

"When you blush," I repeated.

"I-I... erm..."

I laughed, "You're adorable."

Her skin tone grew even darker than before. I tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. She smiled. Neither of us said anything and just looked into each other's eyes for what seemed like hours.

Suddenly we were interrupted by the Time Dragon Clock. It was midnight.

"Oh Oz," Elphaba said getting up, "I... um, I must have lost track of time."

I get up and grab her arm. "Let me walk you back," I said.

"I don't think you should," she answered, "Morrible wants us all in our dorms by midnight and we're already-"

"I don't care," I interrupted, "I want to walk you back... please."

She hesitated. "Ok, fine," she finally replied.

I picked up all the picnic supplies and began walking her back to her dorm.

Soon we got back to her dorm and Elphaba hugged me tightly. "Thank you for tonight, Fiyero," she smiled, "I had fun."

"You're welcome," I smiled back, "I had fun too." I kissed her cheek then watched her walk into the room.

"Goodnight, Fiyero," she smirked before closing the door.

"Night," I smiled then left to my dorm after she closed the door.

I snuck back to my dorm trying not to get caught.

"Mr. Tiggular!"

Too late. I stop in my tracks and turn around to look at our head mistress. "Yes, ma'am?" I asked trying to sound polite.

"What are you doing out?" She asked. "You know you're supposed to be in your dorms by midnight!"

"Yes, ma'am," I answered, "I'm sorry, it won't happen again."

"It better not. If this continues, we will be putting you under suspension."

Suspension? Why suspension?

"What were you doing out anyway?" She asked.

"I was having a picnic," I answered honestly.

"A picnic? With who?"

I can't let Elphaba get in trouble because of me. "No one," I lied.

"Really?" She asked

"Yeah... I was... studying."

"Well... ok then. I'll let you off with a warning. To your dorm, Mr. Tiggular."

"Yes, ma'am." And with that I went to my dorm.
