Today started off badly. But it just got A LOT worse. I was stuck in the car with Brent and Xander. Natasha, unfortunately, left before I could ask her for a ride. I nearly rammed Brent's head into the pavement when he gave Xander a call, just so I could go back into the house and 'nurse' Brent's injuries and skip the ride to school with Xander. The plan could not be executed because mum was beside us, seeing us off. I pulled a face when Xander arrived; not because his ride was horrible. No way. It was the exact opposite. The car was sleek and shiny and I had to shove my hands into my pockets before I was tempted to scratch the sleek exterior.

The interior smelled of expensive leather and was too comfortable. Before I knew it, I drifted off to sleep.

~~~
I woke up to the clicking and flash of a camera but my eyes remain closed. I felt my mouth hanging open. I tried to recall where I was and was about to continue sleeping when realization hit me harder than life. My mouth snapped shut and my eyes flew open as I sat up with a jolt. Xander's phone were mere inches from my face as he remained frozen in his crouched position, realizing he was caught red handed. Brent struggled to snatch the phone away from Xander, fearful of my wrath.
Xander recovered from the shock and smiled cheekily at me. "You were drooling." He took off before I could unleash my claws on him. My blood boiled beneath my skin as I angrily rubbed my face off any dried drool.
I was sure he managed to capture a few successful shot before I woke up. I grab my bag and step out of the car, making sure to slam the door with every strength I could muster. I turned around to face the school entrance and spotted Brent trying to snatch the phone away from Xander. Xander managed to evade Brent without even breaking a sweat- Brent was that weak. Brent bent over in exhaustion and tried to catch his breath, he slumps into the general office of the school building, leaving Xander to my wrath. I was already walking towards the school building while Xander and Brent played cat and mouse. Xander waved his phone mockingly at me before he turned around, bend over, stuck his butt out and proceeded to shake it furiously in my direction.
I bristled and broke into a run. I gave a cry as I neared Xander, fingers outstretched into claws as I aimed for his neck. At the last second, Xander turned and scurried for the general office. I slammed the glass door open and looked around for Xander. I was positive my wide eyes rimmed with a little too much liner, made me look crazier than I already was.
I spotted Xander and made a break for him. I gave a gleeful screech as my fingers wrapped around his neck and started strangling him like the rag doll he deserves to be.
"Ahem," someone coughed.
I froze. Xander's head lolled to the side as he struggled to look straight. I turned around only to be facing Principal Phil shaking his head disapprovingly while Brent cowered behind him- probably using him as a shield, from me.
I gasped and released Xander, allowing him to crumble to the ground, coughing. I 'accidentally' stepped on his pinky ever so slightly- just in case he tried something funny. I turned to face Principal Phil, my face colouring slightly as I began to register just how petty my actions were. In my defence, Xander started it.
"My goodness Elizabeth. What were you thinking? I can't have my star student strangling her schoolmate in front of everyone," his brows furrowed in disappointment before he leant in and added in a whisper. "Do it somewhere where no one can see it at least," he winked.
I exhaled, relieved that Principal Phil was not really angry. Principal Phil and I were like pals. Most probably because he was my closest neighbour and my parents were friends with him.
"I'm afraid you have to forgive my nephew. He can rub people the wrong way when he wants to. That's the only reason why he's come here. I offered to save him from the wrath of other schools," he laughed jubilee at me as he explained.
