Two days passed and it was Thursday night.

"I thought we could go out tonight." Jean said as he returned from dropping the children off at school.

"Did you?" Cheryl replied, emotionless.

"Not this again..." Jean said, sighing.

"Not what?" Cheryl said.

"This. Being off with me. I made a mistake - we all do it." Jean replied, rolling his eyes.

"Yeah, we do, but some more frequently than others." Cheryl replied, getting up from the sofa and carrying her plate into the kitchen.

"So, what about tonight?" Jean called.

"I'm going out." Cheryl said as she put the radio on, quite loudly in attempt to drown out Jeans's voice until he appeared in the archway of the kitchen, turning off the radio.

"Where are you going out?" He asked.

"Just with Katy, not that it's really any of your business." Cheryl replied.

"Did you not think about even asking me to watch the girls?" Jean asked.

Cheryl ignored him and walked past him and up the stairs.

"What are you doing now?" He called, clearly agitated.

"Showering, if that's okay with you?" Cheryl replied, also clearly agitated.

Hours passed of the pair irritating each other until it was time to go and pick Ava and Ella up from school.

"I'll go." Cheryl said as Jean stood up to go and put his shoes on.

He didn't argue with her, nor did he hesitate before sitting back down.

Cheryl left the house without saying a word and drove to school.

Again, she walked past the people she'd usually stop to chat with - and just went directly to her girls' classrooms.

Usually she'd speak to the teacher but, she hadn't for a while now. She waited for Ava and Ella to come to her and led them back to the car, barely saying a word.

She drove them straight home (making sure the windows were on child lock).

"I'm gonna go and get ready." Cheryl said, almost as soon as she got in the door and put her things down.

"Already? What time are you going out?" Jean asked.

"You love asking questions don't you. I'm leaving at 7." Cheryl replied before walking up the stairs.

When she got to her room, she went directly to her wardrobe and picked out some skinny jeans and a white, laced blouse. Not exactly 'going out' wear.

She got herself ready, straightening her hair and completing her makeup with a dusky eyeshadow and dark purple lipstick.

She was ready, just - Katy didn't know she was coming.

They'd barely spoken since the night of the A & E incident with Ella.

She picked up her bag and phone and made her way downstairs and into the living room.

"I'm going." She said, even though it was only 6:30pm.

"Already?" Jean asked, standing up as if he was greeting her.

She stepped backwards. "Yes, already." She replied, peering behind him to blow a kiss at Ava and Ella who were sitting on the sofa in front of the TV.

"Bye girls." She cooed, turning around and walking into the hallway.

Jean followed her.

"When will you be back?" He asked.

"You're not my mam." Cheryl laughed, sarcastically.

"You look beautiful." Jean said, quietly.

"Thanks." Cheryl replied, raising her eyebrows and turning around to unlock the door.

She left the house - without saying goodbye to Jean - got into her car and drove herself all the way to Katy's hotel.

When she got there, she surprisingly wasn't greeted by any paparazzi so she could get inside the hotel without an issue.

She was met by a few smiles and nods from people that recognised her as Cheryl, but no one approached her, again - surprisingly.

She made her way to Katy's room, remembering her room number was 140.

Taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door of which she could hear faint voices behind - those she recognised as Katy's and Shannon's.

She waited until she was greeted by an ecstatic Katy who pulled her into a tight hug.

"What are you doing here?" She asked, when she released her.

"Well you go home tomorrow so I just thought I'd come and see you!" Cheryl replied, giggling and blushing.

"Oh my God, come in!" Katy said, stepping backwards so that Cheryl could pass her.

"Hey!" Shannon said, smiling over at Cheryl.

"I hope I didn't interrupt anything." Cheryl said, scrunching her nose apologetically.

"No, don't be silly, we were just gonna have a quiet night in - nothing we can't do with you around." Shannon said, reassuringly.

"But, I think I'll go over to my room, give you two some space." She added.

"Oh no I don't-" Cheryl began but was cut off by Shannon.

"It's fine babe! I should probably be packing anyway come to think of it!" She said, picking her bag up.

"See you later, Katy." She said, whilst giving Cheryl a warming smile.

"I'm so glad you're here." Katy said, pulling Cheryl into another hug when Shannon had left.

"Ugh, I'm so glad I'm here too! I couldn't cope with Jean any longer - I needed a break." Cheryl said.

"Why?" Katy asked, sitting on her sofa and patting the space next to her so Cheryl would sit down.

She sat down beside Katy. "Everything he does is just irritating me. I honestly don't know if it's me or him that's the problem." She explained.

She went on further, explaining how she doesn't feel attracted to him anymore - emotionally or physically. Explaining how she tries to avoid him, how she tries to avoid going out with him. How she tries to avoid facing her feelings.

"I don't know what to say." Katy eventually admitted, shaking her head slowly as Cheryl sat in front of her - distressed and lost.

"It's fine, I don't expect you to." She replied, falsely giggling.

"All I know is that you need to tell him how you feel. It's not fair on you, and as much as he sounds like an asshole - it's not fair on him either." Katy said.

Cheryl shook her head.

"If only it was that simple." She said, softly.

She looked up at Katy's reassuring facial expression. Staring into her eyes, she didn't know what she felt or how to feel.

Katy returned the stare into Cheryl's eyes.

She kissed her, quickly but deeply.

Cheryl pulled away, forcefully and with no hesitation.

"I-I-I've got to go." She stuttered, as she stood up.

Katy grabbed her hand.

"Stay?" She asked.
