A few hours later
On the plane to New York, I can't remember what had just happened. I know we found Leanna, but from where? Where were we going to his whole quest? I know it was somewhere in California, but where exactly. I ask the others.

Percy shrugs. "Weird. I have no idea."

The others are just as clueless.

There's something I'm missing. I feel like I knew someone who helped me. I can't remember who she was; all I really know it that it was definitely a girl. Someone I had feelings for. Since I can't remember, I let it go. I probably wouldn't have seen her again anyway even if I remember her.

After the plane lands, and we make our way to the entrance, I hug Leanna. Surprised, she wraps her arms around me, and we stand there for a moment. When we disconnect she asks, "What was that for?"

I shrug. "It's a good bye, I guess."

"What for?"

"Well I'm not going back to Camp Half-blood."

"You're not?" Percy says.

I shake my head. "Nah, I think I'm going to try the whole normal thing."

"It didn't work so well for me," Percy argues.

I laugh. "That's because you're the son of Poseidon. I'm the son of Demeter. Nobody really cares about her. No offense, Mom."

"I guess that's true."

Annabeth gives me a hug. "Come visit us sometime."

"Maybe." I know though I'll probably never go back unless it's an emergency. Even then. I'll consider other options before returning to my demigod life.

I turn away from them and walk towards my house where my family is waiting.

A/N this is a very proud moment in my life. I have officially finished two whole books (sure they were fan fictions but it still counts). I hope I will be able to finish a third because I am making a third book! I am really enjoying writing this and I still have a lot of ideas, so I decided to keep going. The third book will be named The Revengeful Demigod, though it may be a while until I start writing it because a) I need to plan it (unlike the first two books) and b) I have so many other things I want to work on.
