Hour One

Hailey's POV

Tears stream down my face but I make no sound.

Why is this happening?

I want to go home!

"What happens when the count down gets to one?" Ashton asks quietly.

"I don't know?" Luke replies nervously.

The count down hits one before the tv starts to buzz loudly.

I cover my ears trying to block out the sound.

The paintings start to shake on the walls before they fly off towards us.

A vase flies off the shelf hitting the wall beside Adriana.

It shatters into a million piece and one piece cuts Adri's cheek causing her to yell in pain and grab her cheek.

Calum grabs my arms and pulls me up holding me close shielding me with his body.

"Run" Michael yells.

We all run up the old creaky stairs and stop at the top panting.

"I'm scared" Izzy whispers.

Her eyes widen and she lets out a scream as she falls to the floor and is quickly dragged across the floor and down the hall.

"Izzy!" Ashton screamed.

A door slams and locks at the end of the hall.

Isabelle screams in pain before it all goes silent.

Everyone's phone goes off.

I look at Calum in fear before my phone unlocks.

I glance down at the message and begin to read it.

"The first Lights Out event will be starting, you have 15 seconds to hide"

No.

I don't wanna play the game any more.

"Oh my god we're all gonna die" I almost whisper.

Michael grabs Adri's hand an they run down the hall.

Ashton runs into the room behind him.

Luke and Hana run downstairs.

Calum grabs my hand and drags me down the hall and into a closet.

"Sit down" Calum whispers.

I slowly nod and sit down letting out a sob.

"Baby be quiet and don't move" Calum says.

I cover my mouth with my hands and nods slowly squeezing my eyes shut thinking happy thoughts.

I begin to count in my head keeping track of how much time is passing.

5 minutes.

I take a deep breath and Hana lets out a scream causing me to jump in fear and let out a gasp in my hand.

Oh my god I don't wanna die.

Hana's probably dead now.

We're all gonna die.

Tears streamed down my face as I cried harder and began to shake.

"Baby you have to calm down and stop moving" Calum whispers.

He rubs my leg quickly.

Theirs a loud bang and Calum jumps in fear. He bites his lip to stop himself from making any noise.

I closed my eyes tightly and continued to count in my head.

15 minutes.

I let out a scream in fear by accident as my phone vibrated in my pocket.

Calum's phone unlocks and he reads the message.

"The first round of lights out is now over"

I quickly stand up.

I can't stay in that closet any longer. It's to small and I can't breath.

I jumped up and burst through the door running out.

I want to go home!

I quickly run down the old creaky stairs.

"Hailey wait!" Calum yells before a door slams and locks.

I ran down towards the front door and banged on it sobbing.

I want to go home!

"Let me out! I don't want to play your stupid game!" I screamed.

My phone buzzed in my pocket and I pulled it out quickly throwing it across the room without reading the message.

"Fuck you!" I yell.

A knife quickly flies towards my and I gasp freezing in my spot.

It flies past me cutting my left side, just above the top of my grey high waist jeans.

I cry out in pain and grab my side.

"Fuck" I curse loudly.

"Hailey come back!" Calum yells.

I look down at my hip as blood started to soak through my white t-shirt.

"God dammit" I curse.

I look up as another object flies towards me. My eyes widen before it hits me in the head.

I fall to the floor, my head spinning.

Something vibrates in my hand and I look at it. It's my phone.

I read the message.

"Stupid girl"

Pain shoots through my body and I scream out in pain.

Oh my god am I dying!?

"God please make it stop!" I sob loudly before everything fades to black.
