Chapter Six

*Bruno's POV*

Skylight drove us to her place. "Do you wanna hang out here or go somewhere else?" Skylight asked, looking at me. "Uh here is fine for now. Before my show, we can go out for dinner if you want," I suggested. "Sure sounds good," she said smiling. We got out of the car. We walked into my house. "My mom is working so we have the house to our selves if you don't mind," Skylight said, placing her bag down. "That's fine." "Wanna go up to my room?" "Sure." We went upstairs to Skylight's room. "Wow you have a nice room," I said, looking around. "Thanks Bruno." I looked over at Skylight and she was looking at the ground. I walked over to her. "What's wrong?" She looked up at me. "I'm ready to tell you my story," she said, looking into my eyes. "Are you sure? You don't have to." "I'm sure." I walked over to her bed and sat down. She sat down next to me. I looked at her and she looked at me. "These scars are from getting bullied. You know that boy I walked out with today?" "Yes. What about him?" "He would beat me and start rumors and make fun of you. I would beat him up for doing that. I'm not strong Bruno." "Yes you are. And you beat him up for me?" "Yes. You're my idol Bruno. I can't stand when people talk bad about you," Skylight said, looking at me. "What rumors did he start?" "That I killed my father." "If you don't mind me asking, how did he die?" "I wasn't paying attention when I crossed the street. My dad pushed me out of the way and he died. I thought it was all my fault," Skylight said, tears pouring down her face. I moved in closer and wrapped my arms around her. She laid her head on my chest. "It's okay," I whispered. My eyes started to become water. It was so sad to see her cry. "I should do my homework," Skylight said, wiping the tears from her face. I let go of her. We stood up. I followed her downstairs to go get her bag. We went back upstairs. She pulled out her homework and laid down on her bed on her stomach. I laid down next to her. Skylight sat up and grabbed her glasses. She put them on and laid back down. "You wear glasses?" "Yes. Only at home. They're reading glasses. I have contacts for school," she said looking at me. "Well you look beautiful in them," I said, smiling. "Awww Bruno. You are so sweet." "You are too," I said, smiling. She looked down at her paper. I moved over so I was laying on her paper. "Bruno, I have to do homework," she said, laughing. "No you don't." "Fine. Two can play at this game." She got up and walked over to her bag. She grabbed a book and paper and walked over to me. She placed the book on my stomach. She sat down and looked at her book. I started rolling side to side. "Bruno stop. I have to do my homework," Skylight said, laughing. I sat up. "Well your gonna have to catch it first." I got up and grabbed her stuff and ran. "Bruno get back here," I heard Skylight shout. I kept running.
