As I was once told, everything will fall into place. Fate will have its way around things. But, can I really trust that all I have anymore is fate or time, I've never really been one to believe in fate. Xidan, I have no idea how he's doing, only Jackson. Can I really wait to find out how my pack is or Xidan?
Jackson lies and twists words to get you to trust him, I was a victim of it. With no more plans to escape, I sit on the ledge of my window staring off in the night. Awaiting something to happen, however I know I'm just delusional.
After Jackson brought me back from the woods, I've stayed in my bedroom. A maid named Mary always places food outside my door, worried that I might starve myself. However I have no intentions of staving myself, the last thing I want is to hurt Xidan more.
A knock sounded on my bedroom telling me Mary has brought dinner to me. I was too into thought to go get it so I continued to sit upon my ledge.
Jackson am I the Luna you really wanted? The pack seems like it doesn't even have one because it's true. I've been avoiding everyone in this foolish pack just to seem like there's no Luna.
"I'm coming in." A deep voice said.
The door opened with the hall light blaring in around the broad shadow.
"Jackson, I'm in no mood." I huffed.
"You haven't been for days." He pointed out.
Jackson picked up my dinner and placed it on my nightstand.
I just shook my head. "Adam told me you loved me." I paused. I knew Jackson did it's just... I don't know how else to phrase this. "I can't return the feelings, Xidan is the one I....."
"In time you will, you will see who is more fit to be your mate." He cut in with no emotion in his voice.
"Not now or ever." I added.
I faced away from him and back to the window. "Jackson, Xidan is my mate for a reason."
"Not for the right reason."
I just shook my head. "Whatever makes you happy."
"Phoenix you need to leave this room, go see the people. Clear your mind of your worries."
"They aren't my people." I paused to glare at him. "My pack is the people you attacked."
"Just get used to this. I'm done with your attitude, grow up and get used to it." He spat.
I shrugged. "You're the one who has to get used to me because I'm not changing."
Jackson glared at me. "Have it your way then."
Then he slammed the door with a lock after it.
Honestly I didn't care if he locked it, I'd much rather not be bugged.
Fog slowly overtook the land, it made the tree limbs like Devil smiles, the way each branch twisted and curved it would make anyone cringe.
Hours passed of me just doing what I always do, sit and watch the night go by. Sleep was so hard to come by without a nightmare so some nights I skipped sleep.
My bedroom door made a click telling me someone had unlocked it. Hopefully it won't be Jackson but, my maid Mary.
I huffed and watched the door open, a dark broad shadow ambled towards me.
"Jackson I'm not in the mood, and go ahead say it.."
Cold hands raised to my throat, in fear the shadow would choke me I recoiled away.
"Who are you!" I yelled.
The shadow didn't answer only came closer to me. "I'm the one who over saw you when you were sick, Jackson sure does worry for your health. I'm sick of doing his work." He snarled.
"Go take it out on him.. I would love to join..." I rambled on.
I don't think I could really ever really hurt someone without feeling regret or remorse.
"That's just it, I am taking it out on him with you." He grinned.
Why am I always the one being used to hurt others, I hurt Xidan and the whole pack.
"Look you have the wrong room." I tried to lie.
I backed up to the window, searching the floor with my feet and my nightstand with my hands.
I need something to warn him off...
Just as I clasped a fork from my dinner, his hands latched onto my already bruised neck.
"I heard you know what this feels like however this time it will be done properly."
"Ander...." I whispered.
Ander was the messenger that grabbed me in the hallway. The weird thing was I never saw him after that, never when I awoke from my slumber. He has to have it wrong......
I clawed at his hands, gasping for air.
"Fight as much as you want but, you won't be able to brake away, Human." He spat.
My vision turned blotchy just like the last time. A wave of dizziness hit me like a brick wall making my knees buckle underneath me.
I tried to speak but, I was alright too drained of breath.
"I shall give you mercy, girl." He smiled. "It will all end soon."
His hands moved to the sides of my frail neck. I already felt done for, I saw the future which was only covered in darkness.
If I die, I will cause Xidan more pain... However I can't stand up to a wolf.
Hot tears ran down my face which touched his cold masculine hands.
"Smile, you don't have to deal with war, pain, or Love..."
I kicked and flung my arms at him to make him let go of my neck. I snapped my eyes closed knowing of what came next.
A bone crunching sound filled my ears, it only takes a quick twist of the neck to snap it.
His hands fell from my throat, my body hit the ground with a thud. My face touched the cold wood on the floor, my last tear ran down my cheek to the ground.
All that ran through my mind was, I'm Sorry Xidan.
