Math had to be one of the only classes I had with Mason. Leaving the others we walked to room 7 and up the stairs. In all of my worrying and over thinking I didn't realise that Mason put my hand in his. As soon as I noticed I smiled to myself. Mason was perfect and all of the girls in the school adored him. He was tall, with dark hair, chocolate eyes, that might I add; you could get lost in and don't forget that he is the smartest person in our year, and I'm not just saying that... he is the smartest person in our year.

Taking our usual seat, beside one another, the teacher, Mrs Olani, started with writing notes on the board notes on Pythagoras, and that's when I start to space out.

Next thing I knew, a group of 7 men dressed in suits came into our class with a clip board and a small spray bottle of Fuck! Sulfur trioxide! The only thing in the fucking world that Sparklines were affected by and they just happen to be, FUCK!, Going about the class spraying it on peoples' hands. Shit! This is what Luca was talking about.

I turn to see Mason staring at me. "You alright? You seem kind of pale." He asked without any suspicions. "It's not like you're one of those abominations." He said jokingly. If only he knew. They came around to him and he held his hand out proudly. His family hate everything that doesn't fit in. They were the idealistic rich family on the hill, above everyone.

**Spray** **Spray**

"Clean" One of the men said standing around Mason said.

"See it's not going to hurt you, they are just checking to see if you are one of them. It won't hurt you." He said trying to comfort me, but he doesn't know the half of it, yes it will hurt me, and I will lose everything. I only just got a date with Mr Perfect; I don't want to fuck it up.
"Ma'am? Please hold out your hand" said the guy carrying the spray bottle, holding out his hand. I put my hand in his and he sprays the liquid. Then I felt the worst pain in my hand. It felt like FIRE! My hand is burning and bubbling in the middle of math class. Gasps come from all around and I turn to look at Mason. Horror, complete and utter horror on the face of the boy that I have known since I was 4 years old. "Please come with us." Said the same man. "Ms..?"
"Delacourt. Addyson Delacourt." Mrs Olani said as I packed up my stuff that is on my desk, not daring to look at anyone, especially Mason.

"Delacourt." Whispers the man, like he testing the name on his tongue or chewing it up, ready to spit it out. "Is your father Alec Delacourt? The fagot that fucks the Brit?" Before I wanted to answer, I lost it. My wings exploded out and my teeth became razor sharp. They wanted a Sparkline, then they will get one. I jumped over the table and went straight of one of the 7 men's neck. As soon as contact was made, he was sucked dry. Us, Sparklines, may not live on just blood but we still like it every more and then. Like wine with humans, some like it, other hate the taste of it. Some can't live without it, others like me, like it but can hold back from the undying thirst.

One down, six to go. My classmates that I have known for years were screaming and running towards the door. Ha! Pathetic humans I thought to myself.
