"Dixon, you made bail." Jim grumbles as he unlocks the cell. Three days he's been down there. Three- without any real food or drink, the inability to sleep, and a pisser that didn't flush. How bad one must feel being a caged animal with little to no rights. Standing up Daryl goes over to Jim, who firmly grasps his shoulder and leads him back upstairs to the secretary.
"You've made bail." Andrea groans as he begins he king over his official documents. "Oh and this came for you."
Tossing an envelope at him, it seems slightly-very slightly- weighted down. He puts it in his jacket pocket and waits for Andrea to give him the green light to leave. As he takes his leave, everyone and their brother glares at him. The whole town knows what went on and why. So taking the envelope, he walks to the park and sits on a bench. Opening the envelope up, he empties it into his hand as his chest sweeps with pain. Beth...no.
"Beth, can you get the door please?" Jacqui yells from the kitchen where she's burping Kylie. Those two had become thick as thieves. Going to the door, Beth opens it up and smiles when she finds Drew standing on the other side of the door with flowers.
"Oh Drew, you shouldn't have. Jacqui is already spoiled." She laughs and his face is framed in a stern look.
"These are for you."
"Oh...how thoughtful. Please do come in." Taking the flowers, she heads into the kitchen and starts arranging a vase. Drew follows her and takes Kylie from Jacqui, who rushed to answer her phone. "So what's the occasion?"
"I just thought you'd want to go take Kylie to the park and maybe get lunch." He sways gently back and forth as Kylie plays with his pink dress shirt. He looks very sharp today with light grey slacks, pink shirt cuffed at the elbows, black tie and and suspenders- oh does he look good to Beth.
"That would be lovely. Let me just get Kylie dressed real quick." Taking Kylie back to her room, Beth undresses her from her onesie and puts her in a cute sundress that has ducks on it. Changing herself into a red and white floral sundress, she puts on her wedge sandals and puts her hair in a ponytail-tying it off with a red ribbon. Sauntering back out to Drew, he smiles at their new appearance an helps her take the stroller and diaper bag to the elevator.
"You both look absolutely stunning. Really."
"Well you look very handsome yerself." She tries not to flirt, but it's so hard considering he's a Greek God.
As they walk to the park, Beth's eyes keep wandering to Drew's left hand that is in fact ringless. If he's married to Cameron and having a baby, why isn't he with her instead? Is he attempting to cheat on her with Beth? It's quite obvious that he has a thing for her, the way he keeps fawning over her and Kylie, the flowers, the kiss on the forehead. It could've been her lips. She could have kissed him right after Jacqui left to take her bath. He could've been in her bedroom fucking her all night if he wanted to. She wouldn't have totally resisted. Watching him push the stroller at this moment is turning her on so much that all she wants to do is pull him into an alleyway and bang his brains out.
Is that bad? Oh well.
