- When Elementalists die, their bodily heart crystallizes, preserving their power and knowledge. These crystals can be placed into objects to boost their effectiveness and power. These crystals are known as heart stones.
- Elementalists have to pledge to stay loyal to their element. A single person cannot attempt to study multiple paths or they will be consumed. Even if the person stops studying an element, they cannot switch to another. Not even time can reverse this pledge.
- When powers are in use, the users eyes become brighter than normal and have a glowing appearance.
- If a person does not agree with their elements teachings, a mysterious side of the element begins to show in them, it is reversible at first, but the more it is used, the more permanent it becomes. They become rotten on both the inside and outside.
- Most elementalists can only control some of their surroundings and are not all-powerful even within their element. Only the masters can create things out of nothing.
