"Serena! Serena please wake up! Come on please come back please just wake up please Serena, wake up! You can't go away now, you can't, come on wake up please Serena please." His hands cup my head tender.
I gasp for breath and my lungs and head feel like exploding.
"Oh my God Serena."
His voice sounds full of worry, yet warm, soft and comforting. I look at him, straight into his lovely brown eyes which try to say a lot, but what it is I can't figure out.
The words stuck in my throat again won't get out, so I try to sit up, - I've been placed in bed again - but his hands hold me back. He only holds up my head up a bit. "Serena, you need to rest, you passed out for a couple of hours. Here, drink this."
He hands me a cup of hot chocolate. As soon as I smell it, my stomach turns and I feel vomit coming up my throat.
"Woah, easy. Just lay down and rest a bit, okay? I'll check on you later." His voice is so warm and pure, I want him to keep talking, to stay with me.
But my eyelids are getting heavier and I just see him getting out of the room before I fall into a restless sleep.

"...I just love her man, especially when she's at the top of her emotions... Like, when I get mad at her she wraps herself around me. I don't ever want to lose her..."
"...Dad look I'm cycling! I did it! Look what I ..."
"...how did you do that Serena? How? It's your first time, no one is able to do that at their first time..."
"...Hey little brother!" "Serena I'm still older than you.." "Ugh Liam yes I kno-ow..."
"...NO! THEY ARE NOT DEAD I SWEAR TO GOD THEY ARE NOT DEAD MOM! I CAN'T EVER THINK THAT!..."

I wake up and I feel the sweat dripping from my head, my clothes soaking and all the sheets and all the cushions are in a mess around me. My head pounds and I try controlling my breathing, which is almost hyperventilating.
As I'm calming down, I look around me.
The clock says it's 3am, but I'm wide awake.
I turn on a little lamp and stand up. The room seems different every time, although I've seen everything there is to see but a few shelves from the bookcase.
A small leather bound old book lays under neath the bottom shelf. When I pick it up a weird chill rushes through my body.
The book is dark red and there's a lock on it. A little layer of dust lies untouched on the cover which I blow off. After a failed attempt to get the lock open with my bare hands, the book suddenly starts glowing. A dim light squeezes his way through the pages. My heart is pounding rapidly, but something inside me tells me that I must get the book open and I have to read it. I start to search all cabinets and drawers for something where I could open the book with but I can't find anything.
The book still lies glowing on the bed where I left it, and I stare at it disappointed, I want to read it so badly,  the urge to read it gets really strong. Then, without anything touching it, the book shoots open and the dim light fades.
I slowly reach for it and I sit down on the bed, and I turn the first page;
"Diary from Jayson Darkwood"
"Day 1 - Today I met the most beautiful girl. Her name is Serena Roosa. She's one of us."
