(Continuation from last chapter - diary from Jayson Darkwood, day 2)

"She looked at me with a mix of amazement, fear and shock. I had to tell her eventually, so I might as well have done it immediately. "Your powers Serena, your magic powers which are very special, rare and unique... And wanted" I told her, I didn't want her to get too enthusiastic about it, so she hopefully would be careful.
Disbelieve was all over her face, while she remained quiet. So I went on, "Listen, you don't have to be afraid, I'll tell you everything you want to know and I'll answer any question you have."
She finally talked. "Powers? As in like magic wands and Harry Potter stuff? Seriously is this some kind of stupid joke?"
"No Serena, please believe me, I know it's hard, but remember what your mom said. She was right, you have powers and you have to be really careful about who you trust."
She opened her mouth, but shut it again. Her mothers words made her rethink. She just needed that reminder, of someone she trusted, even though her mom was gone.
"Then what did I - or my powers - do with the things in the wood? I didn't want that to happen..."
"It was because you were terrified and you had been running for hours, you were in a panic attack, so you had no control over your powers."

I spent the whole day talking with her, what she all can do, how everything works, what she should be careful about and I awnsered every question she had.

The day you get to know you are extraordinary, special, is everyone's strangest and most wonderful day, but mine was today, spending it with her and see the look in her eyes as she tried her powers and finally believed in magic and in herself. I just can't stop thinking about her."

What... Is... This..?
I feel the diary slip out of my hands and fall on the ground but my mind is spinning. What is this? How can he have exactly described me? Whilst trying to remember how I had found the diary, it starts glowing again. When I found it there was dust on it, so it has to be a bit older than just a few days, and Jayson couldn't have wrote it and just put it under the shelves, unless he sneaked in while I was asleep one night... But why would he do that?
Maybe he did all this as some kind of joke after all. I slowly pick up the diary to find evidence that it might be a joke, to see how many pages he possible could have written in these few days.

All the pages. All the pages are filled with ink. Every last one of them. How is this possible?
Than the most weird thought comes up to me: what if it is true? But I just can't remember it?
No. It can't be. I have never done any magic, and the story is just...
Suddenly there are noises in the corridor. Footsteps. They don't sound like footsteps of the maidens, this is more manlike.
Jayson. He must be headed to me to check on me.
The book in my hand starts glowing again, closes itself as fast as it has opened itself and starts to vibrate. While quietly running to the bookcase to put the book back underneath, all I can think is; what is going on?
