To say I was happy is an understatement.
I couldn't wait to tell my mother the good news. I could imagine how would she reacted; she'll screaming, hugging me tightly like there's no tomorrow, and of course praise the lord.
I couldn't believe that this day will come. I've almost lost my faith. But God is good.
I waited for my mother to come home. It was only eleven in the morning, which I needed waited more couple hours. I spent the rest copule hours by cleaning the house, which I never did before.
Our house, basically, a mess. Due to my busy mother and me, the lazy daughter. And we never had a problem with that though.
I turned the radio on, the rap music echoed through the room. I didn't catch a single word of the song it was like yabadabalalala whatever, it must be in another language.I moved my hip to the rhythm.
I was jumping up and down when the door abruptly open. I froze untill I saw my mother figure then I sighed in relief.
My mother raise her eyebrow "Do we need to go to hospital ?" she asked "and check up the little brain of yours?" she smiled slyly "It's not everyday you see your daughter cleaning the house" She made her way to her room and I followed her with a huge grin on my face 'wait until you knnow the news' I thought.
As is she heard what I was thinking, she turned to face to me without warning, got me startled. I held my chest "You aren't taking any kind of drugs, are you?" She asked seriously.
I let out a real good laughter "Are you sure you are not a comedian, mom?" I teased, she relaxed a little bit.
She rolled her eyes and went to her closet to take her pajama. I close the gap between us when I had the chance. In a split second, I felt my arms on fire, my breath hitched on my throat, my stomach twisted. In the other hand my mother pulled her self away from me and shouted "What the hell were you thinking?"
I couldn't gave her the answer just yet, I was too busy to catch my breath. My head spinning as I glanced towards my arms where there was purple bruises. I chewed my bottom lips, shut my eyes tightly and cursed under my breath.
"Are you okay?" My mother asked after a few good minutes.
I looked at her in the eye, there was so much emotion she was holding. I wanted to cry, to yell, to let out my anger, my frustation, but I couldn't do that in front of my mother "I-I'm Okay. I just want to hug you even if just one second" I faked a smile.
"Do not ever do that again! Do you understand me Jade Cathelyn Samuels?" I gave her my flat look in response.
Seeing my lack of response she added "You hurting yourself, you know that?"
"But it was worth it mom"

The rest of the week was a blur. I felt numb. I felt like zombie. I locked my selft at my room most of the time. I didn't understand. No matter how many times I think about it; how could I didn't get any bruises when he touched me.
Was he even a human? Was he an angel or something like that?
Yeah. Maybe that's the right answer
That was the most logical answer I could think of. "I should find him" I said to my self.
Doing nothing won't change anything, I think it's the right time I'm looking for my answer, and I think, he's my answer.
But that wasn't as easy as flip the back of your hand. I didn't know who he was. The only thing I remembered from him was his faded green eyes, and tall figure. I was too shocked when he touched me that day, that I couldn't get his face clearly.
I groaned and ran my fingers to my dirty blonde hair. I chewed on my bottom lip, feeling slightly depressed "I need fresh air" I said as I searched for my cardigan and beanie.
The sun was shining brightly, left me sweating right here and there.
'It's a summer day. What do you expect? Snowing?' I groaned at my inner voice, grabbed my earbuds on my pocket then put it on, I played I love it by Icona Pop ON the highest volume.
"Ouch!" I shouldn't have turned on the highest volume, because my ears hurts. I think I'm almost deaf. "You supposed to make things better not worse. You little shit" I said to my earbuds through gritted teeth.
However, an old lady got startled at my sudden outbrust. She was walking in front of me, she turned her heels to show me her annoyed look.
I gave her an apologetic smile and she response with drolling her eyes. Very mature.
I made my way to the nearest park. I sat on the bench, it was pretty quite considering it was only 1 am.
I saw bunch of teenagers walked towards my direction, I recognized one of them as my neighbor—John, James, or Jack I don't remember his name but I'm sure it was started with the letter 'J'. When they came closer, I bowed my face, stared blankly at my hands on my lap like it was the most interesting thing ever.
I bit the inside of my cheek nervously as they walked past me. They were laughing about how they could easily escaped from Mr. Grumpy's lesson. I snickered, and if it was god wasn't on my side, John guy and his friends noticed, and stopped right on their tracks.
I felt their gaze on me. One of them let out a girly sarcastic laugh, followed by another's. I looked at them, I don't want them to think I chickened out.
It took at least ten seconds for John to recognized me "Wait...You're Jade right?" I grinned and nodded my head slowly.
"How do you know that freak?" A red-haired girl asked to John, like I couldn't hear that she was insulting me.
John opened his mouth to give the rude red-haired girl the aswer but I cut him off "John and I are neighbor!"
All of them raised their brows and turned their gaze in sync back to John.
John cleared his throat "Cameron!" he said with a flush on his cheeks.
I drew my eyebrows together in confusion "What?"
He rubbed the back of his neck while his guy friends smirking and the red-haired girl just........... let's just say she was annoyed.
"My name. Cameron" Oh
This time. It was my cheeks that turned to the shade of bright pink "Uh-yeah. I mistook you for John..." I clamped my hands together "You know that John guy, that live on our neighborhood?".
His face reddened more, it was like a tomato"There's nobody named John on our block" Oh god, kill me now
As if on cue, all of his friends burst into laughter, left alone Jo-Cameron and I in a super awkward situation.
I acted like I was confused. I drew my eyebrows together, rubbed my temple like I was deep in thoughts "Oh right. John guy moved years ago. He was.............anti-social. Maybe that's why you don't know him!"
He was about to say something, but then my phone buzzed on my pocket. I pulled out my phone from my pocket and swap the right button without bothering to look at the ID caller. Because I knew it was my mother; she was the only one had my phone number.
"Yes Mom?" I pulled my self off from the bench and walked away from Cameron and his friends without gave them second glance.
