~Chris' POV~

Skylar tripped over her own Converse as she dragged me by my hand behind the curtain.

"Guys? Guys? Guys!" I heard a familiar voice whisper-yell. Johnnie. He must've saw us come in here to check on Skylar or some shit.

"She's probably not even here. You're, like, blind." We heard Jeremy say. "Sorry," Johnnie mumbled shyly.

Without realizing what I was doing, I moved to go see them, and Skylar fell.

"Ow." She said as I burst into laughter. She blushed, obviously embarrassed. "You're such a dork." She mumbled, her cheeks still bright red.

"I knew they were here!" Johnnie squealed like a little girl.

"You okay, Skylar?" Jeremy asked. "I'm fine." She simply shrugged. "No you're not, tell them what happened." I implied. "I got pushed against the lockers. Big deal." She mumbled, pulling a lose thread on her Metro Station shirt. I didn't know that band, but I thought she looked good in the shirt.

You what?!
I don't know?!
Okay then.
I hate being a teenager. Too much feelings.

"Ignore them. They're just mad that you're awesome and they're shallow dumb blondes." Jeremy said, rubbing her knee. I don't know why, but that made me feel upset. I don't know why, but the sight of Skylar being touched by another guy just felt...wrong.

We ended up staying there for the rest of the school day. I slumped in a seat as I watched Jeremy and Skylar ballroom dancing on the stage. Jeremy was humming the tune from the Cinderella movie. He said he knew it because his sister was obsessed. Suuuuure.

Johnnie sat next to me. "You okay?" He said in a low voice so them two wouldn't hear. "I like her. And she obviously likes him. It's not gonna work out." I said miserably.

Skylar jumped off the stage and 'dusted' off her plaid skirt. "What's not gonna work out?" She asked curiously. "Nothing! Just leave it alone!" I snapped. She flinched. "Sorry." I looked at my lap. "Would you like to dance with me?" She jokingly asked. "Of course." I smirked.

We climbed onto the stage. She put her arms around my neck and I put mine around her waist. She put her head on my chest and hummed. It wasn't the tune from Cinderella, but it was nice.

We heard a click and Jeremy and Johnnie were laughing their asses off. "You didn't!" Skylar squeaked and ran around the auditorium chasing Johnnie for his flip phone. "I'm posting this on MySpace! I'll send it to the whole school!" Skylar literally tackled him and pinned him to the floor.

Why couldn't that be me?
Shut up.
No. You like her. So ask her out dumbass.
She probably thinks I'm ugly. Or weird. Or both.
