Chapter 4: Talking to Luke

"Bella! Over here!" Luke yelled from beneath a large oak while waving frantically. I walked over quickly and sat down next to him. "Yes? What did you want to tell me?"

Luke took a deep breath. "Bella... There's something you have to know... I'm the prince of the fairies, and my father has sent me to fetch you."

I laughed out loud. Luke, the fairy prince? Did he EXPECT me to believe him?

"Bella, I'm serious. The situation is getting critical. Help us. You're the chosen one." Luke told me, his eyes serious.

Still, I was not one to believe in fairies. "Luke, if you want help, I suggest you go to preschoolers to ask. Do you really think you can persuade me to believe you?"

Luke sighed. He hunched his back and turned around, walking away from me.

That was when I noticed a wing-shaped lump on his back.
