Over the next two days, I slept a great amount of the time. Two reasons were my excuses; one, because the nurses would come take Angela to the nursery and insisted that I rest, and my second reason was because everyone would leave. When ever I felt that I was about to cry, I would just fake a yawn and our family would pour out one by one, saying good bye as they left. One stayed behind most of the time, and when Riker would stay I would have to settle for silent cries.

Ross calls about twice a day, checking in on us. We miss him, even Angela sometimes I think. She would get in fits, and nobody could calm her down. In a way I was glad that Riker hung around a lot, it made me miss Ross a lot less, although not completely. And I thought I had everyone fooled, until the day I was leaving. I had just gotten dressed, and Riker was putting Angela into her carseat. I came out of the bathroom, carrying my hospital gown, laying it folded on the bed.

He turned and looked at me after securing my baby girl in her seat. He still had the concerned look on his face he has had since the day Ross left. "So, how are you planning on hiding and crying when we get home?" he asked softly swinging the carseat back and forth in the air.

I looked at him confused. "What do you mean?"

He chuckled and set the carseat on the floor, Angela fast asleep. "I know you cry. I didn't say anything, because I know why. But now I'm a little concerned." He frowned slightly before finishing. "I know its sad, but Ross will be back. Please don't worry everyone else at home, and Ross will be home in a few days?" He asked as a question, wanting me to agree.

I nodded, letting the last of my tears escape before going home to face his family. I picked up Angela still sleeping in her carseat and Riker grabbed my bag, and his, and we walked out of the door. A tear slipped as I walked past the nursery, and I saw nurse Jackie, who has become close to me over the last two days. She stepped out and gave me a hug. She didn't say anything, she was mostly quiet. After hugging me, she leaned over softly rubbing my baby girl's head. She smiled and nodded at Riker, and he politely returned the gesture.

He grabbed my hand, interlocking my fingers in his. I was used to the gesture, he was my best friend. When he did that, she looked hurt almost, and turned around walking back into the nursery. She turned around again, for only a second once she was inside. Another slight smile, and Riker pulled me down the hallway. "I'm happy to be out of here now. She wouldn't leave me alone." He groaned, and looked at me and smiled. I chuckled quietly making him roll his eyes. Riker let go of my hand, throwing his arm over my shoulders.

I was still laughing when we walked out of the hospital into the parking lot. As we walked to his car, he glared at me. "Is it really that funny I was being stalked?"

I shook my head, still laughing. "No bro, your reaction was the reason I was laughing." He glared again, play punching me. That only made me laugh more.

After carefully buckling in the carseat, Riker was in the drivers seat starting the car. He had already put our bags in the trunk while I buckled up the baby seat. The drive was quiet, and although I wanted to go straight home, I really needed to stop to get a few things first. A few last minute things for baby Angela. After Riker assured me ten times he was okay with sitting in the car while I went in, I got out and walked inside. After paying and coming back out, I see Riker standing outside the car, holding her.

He was facing someone, although I couldn't tell who. As I walked closer, Riker pointed to me. I didn't look at the other person. He placed Angela in my arms, and took the two bags from my hands, and popped the trunk placing them in.

"I cant say I'm surprised you to made such a beautiful baby." Oh yeah, I wasn't alone. I turned around, and saw someone I haven't seen in a very long time. Someone who quit talking to me all together. Someone who I was surprised Riker was even talking to, given the fact she broke his heart.

"Oh, hi Kayleigh. Long time no see." I didn't know what to say. Riker could tell I was a little uneasy, and tried to take Angela from me, I only growled and rotated away from him. He chuckled softly, settling for wrapping his arm around me, reaching down to stroke my daughter, his god-daughters head. I see his concern, he knows how I get when I am upset. And Kayleigh hurt my best friend, and not only that, unfriended me when they broke up.

Kayleigh looked at me, than at Riker, and lastly at Angela. The look on her face was priceless. I played along, hoping he would catch on. "Hey baby, can you buckle our little angel in the car, I haven't talked to Kayleigh in forever." When I turned to him, I winked.

He caught on and took her from my arms. "Okay, just hurry up sweetie, we probably need to get her home." I laughed a little inside. Everything he said was true though, he has called me sweetie since I moved in. It was a pet name from me. He kissed my cheek, another usual, but Kayleigh didn't know that.

He walked around the car to buckle her back in her carseat when I turned back around to Kayleigh. Her eyes were wide, and she looked jealous, or maybe mad. I guessed both. She has no right to be though, even if me and Riker weren't acting. SHE BROKE MY BEST FRIENDS HEART.
