We Need

After school
"Uh Topanga!" I call after my friend.
"Yeah?" She turns around.
"The bell is going to ring right?" I ask, she nods her head, sending her beautiful hair flying everywhere.
"Well..." I start, "Maya and I, we are new in town...I guess," She looks at me weird, trying to read my mind probably, I knew my mom was weird as a kid.
"Maya and I, we don't have a place to stay." I finish.

"Well...I have room for you girls at my house, but I don't know if my mom and dad will allow it."

I forgot, we're back in time, before my grandparents split apart.
"Okay, well if we aren't aloud, we could find somewhere else."
Topanga nods, and the bell rings.
Everyone starts rushing out of class and to there lockers.

Topanga and I had a free block, that's why we weren't in class.
"Riles!" I heard Maya call.
Then she jumps right beside me.
"Are we aloud?" Maya asks.
"If it's okay with Mr. And Mrs. Lawrence," I answer Maya.
"Hello ladies," Shawn says, putting his arm over Maya's shoulder.
Cory and Topanga just stands there awkwardly.
"Well I'll go talk to my parents, goodbye," Topanga says.

"Okay, we'll be waiting at the store because there's no where else to really stay," Maya says.

"No you can actually come with!" Topanga says a little happier.

"Alright, we'll follow you but first we need to talk to the boys," Maya tells her.
Topanga nods, then walks away.

"Talk to her parents? What does she mean by that?" Cory asks.
"Oh, Maya and I don't have a place to stay, we asked Topanga and she said she would talk to her parents," I tell the boys.

"I have room at my house," Cory tells us, "And my parents honestly don't care."
Maya looks at me, we both shrug and turn back to face Shawn and Cory.

"We need to tell you something," Maya and I say in sync.
