"Eevee, your fur is white." "No! It can't be. My fur is brown." "Supposed to be." Pichu corrected, and showed me the mirror. "The same way Vulpix is supposed to have red fur." I looked around at the others, and it hit me. "We're shinies." "How is that possible?" "I...I don't know." Pichu hated not knowing things. I walked away, and pushed through the door-flap, into the yard.

"So, I did some investigating, and found out other things. In case anyone was paying attention, we can't normally read the XTranciever. We can read, and probably write, too. Also, I found something very interesting: we can become human." I demonstrated. "I want to time how long we can stay that way." Pichu said. "It could help escape. But we will need human names. No human in their right mind would name their kids after Pokèmon. I will be Neva." We went around the circle. Vulpix is now Autumn, Starly is Coco, Togepi is now simply Toki, Happiny is Lilly, and. Axew is Ava. "What about you, Eever?" "Wynter." I responded, still in human form so Neva could time me, fingering my ice stone pendant. "I like that name."

"So, we can stay in human form for about 2 hours. That should be long enough to get to a Pokemon Center and rent a room. Then we can rest, in Pokemon form." Neva announced, evidently satisfied that he had figured this out. "Okay, then." I began. "Let's-" I stopped abruptly as I began to glow. "What is it?" I asked. "What's going on?" "Evolution!" Lilly and Autumn called out in unison.
