Chapter 1
"Anniversary"
Koga looked around at his surroundings, he didn't remember how he had gotten there, but somehow, he was now in a field, it was the middle of the night and the moon was full, and was high in the sky, shining brightly.
What the hell is this? Where am I?
That thought ran through his head, until, he noticed the flowers that scattered the ground below him.
The flowers were glowing bright, vibrant colors in the moonlight, such as pink, purple, green, orange, and yellow.
At that moment he realized where he was, his suspicions were proven true, when he saw a small girl around the age of 9 dancing around in the flowers.
"Luna..." The name seemed to echo in the silence as the girl slowly turned around, she gave a smile but in that instant, she disappeared.
Koga's eyes widened as he ran towards the girl as she began disappearing.
"Luna!" He shouted as he soon shot up from his dream and looked around sweating, his breath heavy, almost panting.
Everyone had been awake as they looked at him.
"Hey Koga, are you alright?"
Miroku was across from him on the opposite side of the fire they had lit.
"Yeah, you look like you were having a nightmare..."
Kagome's was sitting beside him not close but almost.
Koga looked at them all then slowly calmed his breathing and stood up.
"Yes I'm Fine. It was just a dream."
He whispered the last part almost longingly which made everyone else wonder, Was he lying?
Ginta, a wolf demon with very short black hair and a white almost flame like hair on the front of his head, and Hakaku another wolf demon with a slightly looked at Koga from their place a bit away from the fire.
They had sympathy in their eyes, they knew he was lying, but they could only guess what his dream was.
"Is it that day already?"
Ginta's voice was quiet as he looked at his comrade Hakaku who only gave a small nod.
"Yeah, I guess so. I didn't think it would be for a few weeks."
They both let out a sad sigh and then notice Koga begin to walk away with a sad expression on his face he was trying to hide.
"Koga, where are you going?"
"I'll be back later, I'm just...going for a walk."
He didn't stop walking and only gave Hakaku and Ginta a look as they almost stood up.
"You two stay... I want to be alone."
They froze slightly, about to argue until they saw the sadness and the held back tears in his eyes, that's when, they gave a slow nod and sat back down.
When he was far out of everyone's view, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, and Shippo all looked at Ginga and Hakaku.
"Um, what was that about?"
Sango's voice broke the silence they had been sitting in for only a few moments.
"Yeah, he seems a bit... off today." Shippo added.
Ginta lets out a sigh. "It's not his fault,"
"Yeah... he can't help what day it is." Hakaku finished for him as everyone looked at them confused.
"And, what day would it be?"
Ginta and Hakaku got up and walked over closer to them as they say by the fire staring into its flaming depths.
