Meeting in San Carlos[AB was muttering to himself while traveling to San Carlos.]
AB: San Carlos or "Snitchville" as it's
known by most, is never easy to get into, not even during the day. Then, this time, it happens to be a cop. Oh, I forgot, an ex-cop. Eyes are always watching. The streets are always talking. I might as well turn around now. Grr-I'm going to see the most beloved Zeffers in those parts. There's no way I'm going to get in there. Grr-rr but, I have to. I need answers. I've also got a lot of enemies here in Snitchville. Boy, would some of these guys love to see me again. And now, I'm open prey to them and The Begore. But I got my Rolly, so I'm good.
Narrator: After driving for hours, AB finally sees a sign that reads one motate to entrance of San Carlos.
AB: Finally, I'm here, the entrance to Snitchville. "Look over there Rolly, at the gateman. He might not cooperate, Grr-rr-rrr."
[The Gateman was looking down at his notepad while writing.]
Gateman: "Are you here to snitch, or are you here to get information from a snitch?"
AB: "Neither, I'm here to beat the shit out of a snitch until he gives me some answers." Appleberry said as he gazed at him through wide yellow eyes.
Narrator: The gateman looks up.
Gateman: "O-ooh!!! It's, well, what do I call you now? Let's see, how about former Detective Appleberry?"
AB: "Appleberry will suffice."
Gateman: "Well, Appleberry, which snitch are you here to see today?"
AB: "Clifre, that's the only snitch I concern myself with today."
Narrator: [The gateman looks at AB suspiciously]
AB:" Why is it any of your business why I'm looking for Clifre?"
Gateman: "What if I say no? You are no longer a detective and you have no entrance pass. Things have changed since the last time that you were here Appleberry. Everything is not done by simple brute force anymore. Most Zeffers have taken the more sensible approach to resolve their issues."
AB: "What if I send a bullet at your head courtesy from The Rolly? Then I'll know everything that you know. Now open the damn gate."
Narrator: The gateman hesitates and stares at Appleberry for a moment before finally opening the gate, but not before whispering some choice words to him.
GM: "Don't forget Appleberry, the first rule of Snitchville applies to you too now."
[First rule of Snitchville]
If a snitch is harmed in Snitchville for what a snitch said. Then, he who harms one in Snitchville will end up dead, without a snitch around to witness.
Narrator: Traveling through the entrance of Snitchville Appleberry noticed an unusual calmness about the town. There weren't any snitches walking the streets or watching him. There were no eyes lurking around the street corners. He only saw those trying to hide as they peeped through the cracks of their curtains. Then out of nowhere he hears a scream.
Voice one: "H-A-A-A-AH!!! The Begore is here. HUA-A-A-AH!"
Narrator: The sounds of the screaming victim drove chills through AB's spine. The sound gets fainter. As a cop, Appleberry had safe passage from the sights of The Begore. As a member of the forces each officer is issued a safeguard Leagent Bracelet, equipped with anti-begonia, a bacterium that escapes into the air and cripples the senses of The Begore, rendering it clueless for a short period of time. As a free man, Appleberry no longer possessed such a bracelet or any device strong enough to cripple the senses of the enormous beast. Appleberry now found himself in an awkward situation. He's alone and helpless. Free to become a victim to The Begore and all the horrors that it would bring.
