Michael's POV
I watched as the blur of trees, people and buildings rushed past us as I sat in the back of the car breaking apart the lid of the coffee cup Abigail had given me. Not really wanting to start a conversation with Rob, I rummaged around my bag trying to locate the only things I wanted right now - my headphones. Feeling the cord wrap around my hand I pulled them out of my bag and whilst putting them on my head I felt a sensation of comfort. After counselling I feel like you need a certain kind of music to listen to after, it's hard to explain but now I couldn't understand it better. I put on screaming and kicking by All Time Low just to be background music to my thoughts. As much as I hate to admit it, I think this counselling thing is going to help.
Satellite had just started playing when I thought I could hear a noise, I ignored it though because I love this song. I was startled when a hand was in front of my face attempting to bring me back to earth. 'Sorry Rob, I'm just in my own world. Thanks for dropping me off, I'll see you soon'. After ignoring Rob I felt it necessary to wave goodbye to him as he drove away. I turned to face mine and the boys' house, and it made me happy to see them through the window all sat together. I needed a little normal right now. Getting closer to the house I heard loud talking, obviously from Ashton, and hysterical laughing which instantly put a smile on my face. Being too lazy, I didn't bother getting changed so I just threw my bag down, ruffled my hair and made my way towards the living room.
'No one cares!' I heard Ashton say causes Calum to argue back - this must be about the football again. I rolled my eyes and smiled before opening to Talk Dirty to Me blasting and Calum and Ashton singing badly and bobbing side to side simultaneously. I walked over to the boys, who were all chilling on the sofa in front of the laptop, and yep I was right, the football was on the TV. 'What are you guys doing?' I asked causing them to turn and look at me. 'Yaayyy, guys Michael's here!' Ashton shouted turning the laptop towards me. Calum pulled the laptop back towards the three of them and motioned me to come and sit with them all.
Ashton grabbed his phone and put the song Ignition on before answering the question 'we're doing a Twitcam'. He then looked back towards the screen 'looks like someone forgot but we can forgive him' Ashton said letting out a giggle at a random comment he had read at the same time. I dive bombed onto the guys squeezing myself in-between Luke and Ashton. Luke let out a muffled laugh 'Damn it Michael you're crushing me haha. Roll over'. For a little while we were, as per usual, just messing with a random prop until Ash decided shouted 'let's do a live air guitar show right now' and he sprung off the chair throwing his phone to Luke to change the song whilst turning the laptop to the open floor. Luke started playing anyway you want it, 'feel free to join me guys' Ashton said to us all, 'and everyone at home'.
Calum and I decided to join him so we sprung up offthe chair and did our best guitar solo impressions leaving Luke to DJ. Wejumped around pretending to play guitar dancing (well, if kicking our legsaround is classed as dancing) to the music Luke played. We carried on theTwitcam a little longer after this then we decided to call it a night. 'Guys ifyou are having a tough time keep on trucking' Ashton said with a big smile. 'We love you!' I shouted towards the screen before the Twitcam turned off. With a big smile on my face (fans always make me smile) I stood up and walked to the kitchen and made myself a coffee. I'm kind of disappointed though because I can't recreate that awesome coffee from Abi's office. Then I could hear the boys hushed voices from the living room- I know what this is about.
I let out a sigh knowing that the moods going to go from great to awkward real quick. I hesitated before heading back into the living room, thinking to myself 'it's too early to go to bed so they won't take any excuses'. Reluctantly I walked back into the living room and saw the three of them sitting on the sofa looking at me expectantly. Luke was sat stiffly on the edge of the sofa messing with a throw pillow probably not really wanting to have this chat. Calum was splitting his attention between me and the football and naturally Ashton was looking at me all smiles probably trying to look normal. I sighed again before sitting down in the chair opposite them (talk about déjà vu)
Trying to keep it cool, Calum broke the silence 'so how did it go earlier? I bet it wasn't as bad as you thought.' Tilting my head to the side I answered 'um it was good actually. I was kind of surprised at how nice she was and she didn't make it all as clinical as I thought it would be. The weirdest thing was that she was so young, I mean she's practically our age'. Intrigued, the guys looked at me curious to know what she looks like because I'm pretty sure they didn't expect her to be our age. Not wanting to add details I summed it all up. 'Basically, she didn't make it too professional and I'm not even kidding, she has the best coffee machine ever!' I told them making them chuckle and thankfully the atmosphere got much more normal.
Much less tense now Luke leaned back into the sofa before he spoke 'so do you think carrying on with it will help?'
'Yeah I think it might' I replied making them smile.
'That's great Michael' Ashton chimed in 'when is your next appointment?'
'It's pretty soon actually- on Wednesday.'
They nodded and smiled before glancing at each other 'who's up for a pizza party?'
