Kyra's P.O.V
It was only just after lunch when Dad turned into the street that the Beckham's lived in. All the houses looked pretty much identical, aside from the personal touch in the garden and the choice of curtains that dressed the windows.
The houses are painted a colour somewhere between white and cream, guarded by black gates and red, almost pink, brick paths. They were massively tall. Our house looked big in width, but these houses almost reached the sky but were certainly taller than the trees spread around the street.
Dad slowly crept the car closer to the one I supposed was the Brooklyn's home. It looked to be about four stories but I didn't doubt that there was another floor below the ground level that was likely to have been turned into a rumpus room.
I breathed in deeply then exhaled. Dad leaned forward over the dashboard to look at the house's height. He looked impressed.
"This is your friends house?" Dad questioned.
"Aha" I gathered my bag and shoved the printed directions we used to get here into the glove box. "You sure I should be going out tonight when Mum's sick?"
"She'll be fine" Dad assured me for the millionth time. "I'll look after her"
"Yeah, but Dad even after the eventful morning we've had, it doesn't change the fact that you're lying to Mum about something" Vexi leaned forward in her seat in the back.
"And I assured you all that I have good intentions by doing so and I didn't cheat" Dad's eyed in the back through the review mirror. "We'll be fine tonight without all of you"
"Ok" I sighed and opened my door.
"Ky?" Dad's voice stopped me from getting fully out of the car. "Your friend, Brooklyn, did we ever establish whether Brooklyn was female or male?"
Vexi giggled in the back seat as I stood there in embarrassment but I knew he wouldn't have let me come if he really knew. I guess I'm here now so he can't do much else.
"Better tell him Ky" Vex teased.
"He's Brooklyn Beckham, David and Victoria's son..." I trailed off.
Dad undid his seat belt and grabbed the leaver to open his door. "I'll walk you to the door" he decided.
"Don't you dare! I won't talk to you for a week" I threatened him.

Brooklyn and I were seated outside on the sandstone coloured steps that lead to the Beckham's lawn. Everything was so green and vibrant, kind of like our backyard. Hedges surrounded the yard, following along side the black fence but stopped at the pool. The water looked nice also, very clear. It made me wish we had a pool, but Dad get's quite nervous around water. The one time we were with him at the beach, he almost had a panic attack with Letty started swimming further out where she couldn't stand.
Brooklyn's family were setting up buckets of ice cold water around the yard, where each of them would be filmed accepting their Ice Bucket Challenged. I thought it was a rather amazing cause, and I was proud that Mum had completed the challenge but also donated. It's amazing how social media can promote and raise awareness about so many issues that occur within our society. I want to be a person who makes a difference in the future, so I guess that is why I'm so proud of this cause.
"How did this morning go?" Brooklyn asked as his father passed us carrying a barrow-like bucket.
"Which part? The part where I threw a tantrum and refused to get tested? Or the part where Mum ended up passing out?" I asked sarcastically.
