Vexi's P.O.V
Tension was running high, higher than it had over the past few weeks. Today was going to be extraordinarily difficult, and not just on us triplets.
Everyone I've had the pleasure of getting to know over the past few years have commented on how alike Leticia, Kyra and I are to Zayn and Perrie. It was either in our talents, our looks or the way we spoke that we were alike. But some of the strangest things - like our appearance being similar to Zayn or Perrie, made me truly believe that in some way the three of us were meant to become the Malik Triplets. We were meant to become Zayn and Perrie's daughters.
But now, the fantasy I had created in my head was being shattered. Not only are the cheating scandals becoming more of an intriguing topic in the media, the biological mother issue was becoming such a topic of interest that people were demanding proof that we were or weren't Scarlet Wentworth's biological children.
The car ride to the doctor's office where the DNA test will be conducted was quiet. No one dared to say anything and I assumed we were all silently praying this wasn't true, I knew I was.
Flashing lights from the front window of the car made me look up. Photographers were crowded along the path that leads to the entrance to the doctor's office. How did they find out where we'll be?
"Keep your heads down and don't say anything" Dad reminded us, but we knew the drill.
Our car slowly rolled to a stop in the nearest car spot. It wasn't even a second before the photographers acting like vultures crowded every inch of the exterior of the car. My breath quickened.
"It's ok, baby. Deep breaths" Mum assured me and gathered her bag, stepping out of the car and pushing her sunglasses further up her nose.
No matter how many times this happens, I still had a bit of a panic attack. I didn't like people touching me or getting to close when I didn't know them. I was claustrophobic, something that had developed quickly within the first few months of being a Malik.
Mum opened my door, seeing as I was the last to get out. She gently took my hand and guided me out of the car. With her arm wrapped around me, we made our way to the modern looking building with glass windows. I hoped we were going somewhere a bit more secluded.
Dad had his arm wrapped around Kyra and Letty stalked ahead. I had a feeling she wasn't phased by the attention like she should have been, or maybe she was supressing it. It was the famous Letty 'Brave' Act. She certainly isn't as brave as everyone thinks.
When we finally got through the entrance, Mum let go of me, giving me a little kiss on my temple. I smiled gratefully. I already had the most amazing parents.
The sound of our shoes hitting the ground with every step echoed down the long halls. I was very thankful that the inside looked more private then the outside.
Mum walked ahead with Letty, Dad now beside me and I guess Ky trailing behind. I frowned momentarily as the sound of her shoes slowed in pace until their unique squeak sound stopped suddenly.
"Ky?" Dad turned around, noticing her shoe's silence also.
Mum and Letty stopped and I turned my head to look over my shoulder at my baby sister. Her emerald green eyes stared at the floor, switching between two spots as her thoughts started running fast.
"Baby, we're already late" Mum reminded her.
Ky shook her head making her soft curls bounce. She looked frightened and passionate at the same time. I had an inkling I knew what she was thinking about and if I was correct, I totally agreed.
