The Decuplets are so popular at school already: people have started calling us the Decuplettes. I have had a really good start here at Crystal Blue High. There is one downer though: my family is going on a road trip. The same time my school is going on a month long holiday to the Gold Coast. But, fortunately, my parents are awesome, so they're letting me choose. To be honest, I hate road trips. I think I might choose school camp. We are going to Movie World, Dreamworld and Wet and Wild Water World. I can't wait to go on the Aqua Loop! I've always wanted to. Anyway, my fellow Decuplettes are going on the road trip. They leave in a week. They'll be back two weeks before I get back. We'll be separated for a while. I'll miss them heaps, but I can't wait to go to Queensland.
*1 week later*
I clutch my suitcase in one hand. This is it. I think to myself. The first time I've ever been separated from my sisters. I wave to my family as they leave for their road trip. It's quite silly, but my class isn't flying together. We can go on whatever plane we want, but we have to meet the teachers at the hotel by 9:00 am. It's 5:00 am right now. My flight leaves in half an hour. It takes 2 and a half hours to get to Brisbane airport, so I'll be there by 8. I'll get a taxi to the hotel, which will be an hour long drive. I'll be at the hotel at 9 on the dot. Cool. I like being organised. I take a deep breath and walk into the Domestic flights section. The airport is kind of busy, but not very. I scan the massive area for my sign. I then find it: Tiger Airways. Departing: Melbourne, 5:30.
Arriving: Brisbane, 8:00.
Perfect. I walk over and join the small line. It quickly shortens, then it is my turn. I walk up to the conveyer belt and put my huge suitcase and mini suitcase up. I show the lady my tickets. She scans them and a little sticker cones out the printer. It says: Tiger Airways. Melbourne to Brisbane. "Any fragile valuables?" The lady asks. I shake my head. She presses a button, and my suitcases join the line of suitcases. I walk over to my gate: gate 6. I sit down and message my fellow Decuplettes in a group message.
(Me) (Decuplettes)
Hey. How's your trip so far?

Clover: We just left?

I know, but how is it?

Clover: Alright, I guess. Anyway, Mum says I have to get off my phone now so I don't waste it's battery. See ya, Em.

Bye, Clove.

"Now boarding: gate six to Brisbane." The loudspeaker calls. I check my phone. It's 5:20 already. I join the queue. I give the lady my ticket. She rips a bit off then gives it back. I board the plane. I check my ticket. Yes! I've got a window seat. Each row of seats is a three seater. I wonder who I'll be sitting with. I grab my earphones out of my bag and plug them into the seat. I watch random music videos. I suddenly feel my phone vibrate. I've got a text. It says: I can see you.
Creepy, much? I don't know who it's from. I don't recognise the number. I look to my right. I see Jasmine sitting there smiling. I take my earphones out. "Hey Jas!" I exclaim.
"Hey Em!" She says.
"Was that text from you?" I ask. She nods. "I didn't recognise your number though!" I say. She holds up a phone.
"I got a new phone. I also switched phone companies, and they gave me a new number."
"Cool!" I say. Her phone is an iPhone 5 c. It's blue. "Now we're twinsies!" She says. I also have a blue iPhone 5 c. Then, someone sits next to Jasmine. She turns to us. "Hey girls!"
"Chloe!" Jasmine and I say in unison.
"I got a new phone. It's like yours, Emily!" She holds up a blue iPhone 5 c. "I got one, too!" Jasmine shows Chloe her phone. "Twinsies!" Chloe exclaims.
"You mean... Triplies!" I say. We laugh. "Where are your sisters, Emily?" Jas asks. "On a road trip." I reply.
"Oh. I'm not very fond of road trips." Jas says in a posh voice, causing Chloe and I to laugh. "Enjoy the flight." The hostess says. "We just talked through the safety chat!" Chloe says, worried. "It's okay. Nothing bad is going to happen." Jas reassures her. Suddenly the plane speeds off. Then I feel it going up in the air. My ears pop. "What's happening to my ears?" I ask, worried. "Haven't you been on a plane before?" Chloe asks. I shake my head. "I'm scared. I've heard about all those tragedies on TV..." I say, my voice trembling. Then Jas says, "Don't worry. You have nothing to worry about."
