As I round the corner for the gym, I hear gunshots. Panicking, I storm in, prepared for a fight, only to be greeted with the sight of a furious Anna, shooting round after round at the shredded target.
"Anna?" I take a step towards her as she takes another shot. She hesitates before lowering her gun and turning to face me.
"What's wrong," I look into her deep blue eyes. Her gaze lands on the floor as she refuses to look up. I place a finger under her chin, and force her to look at me.
"I just want to be respected. I don't want to be the damsel in distress. And you almost died. It scared me. You said you'd keep me safe but how can you if you're getting hurt? Even so, I shouldn't have to rely on you," Anna replies carefully.
"Come here," I wrap my arms around her in a reassuring hug. "I'm still alive. Alive enough to tell you, you are strong. And you don't need me. But I want to be there for you as much as you want me to."
She sighs before pulling away, just enough to look me in the eyes.
"You're an idiot," She pouts. "But when you're not being an idiot, you can be somewhat charming." She smiles and I raise my brow.
"Oh really?" I smirk.
"Really," She mimicks my smirk. Within seconds I'm wiping that smirk of hers off with a deep and passionate kiss.
Dawn's POV
I roll my eyes as I attempt to wash the blood out of Drako's shirt.
"So I said to Angelina, I want to, like really, but what about Brad? I can't drop a gallon of pie filling on him," Peter rambles.
He goes from humorous to annoying really quick.
"So then she said, but Peter baby, he called me a slut, and I said, well maybe if you stopped acting like one!" He bursts out laughing at the end. "Get it? Well maybe if you stopped acting like one!" Peter clutches his sides, his head rolling back in heavy laughter.
Tensing my jaw, I refrain from breaking his nose.
"Yeah, I get it. She was slutty," I sigh at his lack of... lack of anything but stupidity.
"Are you alright?" Peter looks at me concerned. I stare back at him, jaw gaping, shocked at the fact that he's asking about someone other than himself's well being.
"Fine thank you," I snap out of it and focus on the dirty shirt in my hands.
"Holy cow!" He shouts.
"What?" I snap.
"You're eyes are awesome! They're two different colors, have you ever noticed? I love them, they're mesmerizing!" He blushes at the last part he let slip.
"Thanks," I ignored the slip up as he's had a lot the past few days. It's obvious he likes me. But I can't stand him. His lack of intelligence, immaturity, not being able to be serious or considerate, I can't stand it. He's the complete opposite of me. Maybe I could give him a shot. As long as he kept his trap shut- I shake my mind free of such absurd thoughts. Never in a million years.
I ring out the shirt and hold it up, admiring my work. I drape it over the string we've tied up and step out of the kitchen, Peter following enthusiastically of course.
Just then Chris and Anna walk in, smiling and Anna blushes as all eyes are on the pair.
"Good work out?" I ask and Anna stares at me wide eyed.
"Wh-what?" She stutters.
"Did you have a good training session? I assume that's what took you so long," I elaborate.
