"I apologize, Ms. Cheyenne. It's just..." Prince William paused as he thought for something to say.

"May as well tell her the truth Will," Jonathan said, coldly looking at his half-brother. What was with that look?

"The truth?" I asked, looking at Prince William. "What does he mean, Your Highness?"

The Prince sighed. "Now that you know, I may as well. I'm a Psychic. The entire Royal line is either Psychic, Telekinetic, or Telepathic, with a few exceptions."

"So you can read futures and stuff?" I asked, incredulously. All my life, I was led to believe that only the Dragon Marked held any special abilities.

He nodded. "We came here to see if I could find anything out about you. Now that we know, we can go," he made a motion to Jonathan, who started heading towards the door.

"What do you know now that you didn't before?" I held my hand out and grabbed Prince William's arm before he could move to leave. I looked up at him pleadingly.

He hesitated. He then bent down close, which must have been hard, as he was at least 6 feet, and whispered in my ear, "I can't tell you yet. I'll come get you tonight, and I'll tell you then. The orphanage, right?" When I nodded slightly, he stood up straight and walked past me, out of the room.

Jonathan walked behind him, giving me a conflicted look. I was about to speak to him, when he shook his head. I waited in the room for a minute after they had gone, and slowly walked back to class, thinking about my meeting with the Prince that night.

When I got back to class, everyone started hounding me with questions about why the Prince wanted to speak with me. I sat down in the seat next to Dean, and ignored all the questions. Ms. Gargoyle had apparently canceled the lesson plans for today, as she did nothing to stop the students, nor was anything on the white board.

After the hour was finished, I showed Dean to his next class. As I went to go to my next class, he stopped me.

"Did the Prince really call you up?" he asked, looking at me with concern. I just nodded, still too dazed about what Prince William said about coming tonight. "What did he want?"

I shrugged. I got the feeling that the prince would rather I keep what the meeting was about a secret. "I have to get going so I make it to class on time. I'm sure that someone here can show you to your next class. I'll see you later Dean," I say as I evade his reach and quickly walk to Mr. Young's History.

The rest of the day passed by quickly. I didn't see Dean again, which I guess meant that we didn't share any other classes together. As I walked into the library though, I saw him. He almost looked as if he were waiting for me.

I walked to the back of the library, and silently hoped against hope that he wouldn't follow me. I almost believed he didn't, when I slid against the wall. But he showed up right in front of me, as I pulled my book out. He sat down next to me, but stared intently at me.

A few minutes later, I couldn't take it. I put my book down and looked at him. "What?" I angrily whispered.

"What did the Prince want with you?" he whispered back.

"I told you, I don't know. Now please drop it," I begged.

"Not until you tell me what he wanted."

"I have no idea what he wanted. He took one look at me, and then left. That's all." Maybe he would leave it alone now.

Although he didn't look convinced, he didn't bring it up again. I went back to reading my book. After awhile, I felt him looking at me again. I ignored it, and tried to focus on what was happening in the book. Then the bell rang. That was surprisingly quick. I put my book in my bag and walked to the orphanage, Dean watching me the whole way.

I went upstairs to my room and locked the door, after I informed Ms. Hoiten that I would not be eating that night. I collapsed on my bed and fell asleep soon after.

There was a loud ringing in the background, and somewhere there was a woman crying. Smoke covered the area around me, preventing me from seeing anything.

"Run!" someone yelled, and I felt a tugging at my arm.

"There's a dragon!" someone else screamed. The tugging at my arm increased, but I was frozen on the spot.

Suddenly there was something hot at the back of my neck and the tugging stopped. I tried to turn around, but I was unable to. There was suddenly a force, and I was made to turn around. Behind me, was a ginormous dragon, with red scales that occasionally glimmered gold in places. I don't know how I knew, but I knew this dragon was a male. He looked down at me and I saw he had brilliant orange eyes, with a black slit for the pupil, like a cats.

Suddenly, there was a force that pushed me to run away from the beautiful dragon, and I was on the run again. The ground started to shake, and I wobbled. How am I going to get away, I thought. I tripped and then-

I woke up, drenched in sweat. I nearly forgot where and who I was, until I looked around and it sunk in. The memory of the dream was already fading. Looking at the clock, I saw that it was nearly 11 P.M. When did Prince William say he was coming?

A slight tapping at the window drew my attention towards the outside. I walked over and opened the window up. When I looked down, I saw none other than the tall Prince himself. He motioned for me to come down. I held up one finger.

I quickly changed into a baggy t-shirt and sweats. As I was about to leave my room, I noticed a note was slid under my door. I put it into my pocket, and silently went down the stairs and out onto the porch. Looking around for the Prince, I was startled when he popped up next to me.

I was about to scream, when he covered my mouth with the palm of his hand. Making sure that I knew it was him, and that I wasn't going to scream, he moved his hand away.

"What is it that you found out?" I asked, getting close and whispering.

"I trust that you did not tell anyone what I called you up for?" When I shook my head, he proceeded. "I... I saw that you didn't have your power," he answered. I teared up, but I did not allow the tears to fall.

"Anything else?"

"You do have powers. Though I cannot yet say what they are, I do know that they are Great Powers, well beyond anything any previous Dragon Marked has been able to do. And..." He slowed, hesitating.

"I have powers?" I asked, not quite believing what the Psychic prince was telling me.

He nodded. "But you are not the only one. Someone else you know has a Dragon's Mark. He's been hiding it well. You cannot be fooled by him, Cyzari." The Prince abruptly left, without another word, before I was able to even think of a response.

I had powers. And I wasn't the only Dragon Marked.
