Have you ever played a game? A game were even in the glory of victory you know your still defeated. A game were no matter how hard you try you know its not enough. A game with no winners.
My name is Alex Hoffman. I live a normal life with my mom, dad, and sister. We live in a small house in Louisiana. I knew my schedule everyday .Except for my few trips to the principles office, my life was very boring. But sometimes things can happen making you wish you had it all back.
It all started with a simple phone call. My mom has been giving me lectures over my grades and going to the principles office.
I had failed ninth grade algebra and had to retake it in summer school. He suggested a special facility that would give me more then enough attention. But I smelled something fishy seeing as he already didn't like me or my friends, but mostly me.
It was probably because we spray painted his car the color of our football teams arch rival the falcons. He didn't find it that humorous so I got suspended for three days.
I felt bad for not being able to hang out with Danny at her aunts swimming pool or watching movies with Tyler.
It was finally the day when I would be leaving for this facility, that my mom had gotten so excited about because she thought it would help me a lot. The Principle Myers had given my mom a brochure that had no picture but mentioned how much it would help my grades and attitude.
I sat outside waiting for the bus to arrive. It should be getting me any minute now. I would have actually preferred my mom or dad to drive me there, so at last minute I could pretend to have heat stroke or spasms. But no the bus pulled to a stop in front of my house. I said my goodbyes and got on the bus. It looked like a normal school bus except for when I got back inside it was empty. I chose a seat in the back and threw my duffel bag on the seat next to me.
" Better get comfortable kid, its going to be a long drive", the driver warned. Three hours, that's how long the ride will be. I starred at the ceiling until I slowly started drifting off.

"Run! Run!", The disembodied voice yelled at me I couldn't see anything but darkness. A beam of light fell upon a girl in front of me she was about a year older then me clutching an arm that wasn't there. "Leave", she cried tears cutting into the grime and blood that stained her face.
"Here we are", her voice sounded masculine now and had a slight country accent.

I awoke "here you are kid", the man repeated opening the doors for me. I hopped out. The bus drove away even though there was no road, leaving tire tracks behind it. The house stood about three stories high it was big in height but not in width. For miles all I could see was grass. It was up to my shins and swayed even though there was no wind.
