I slowly walked up to the door and gave it three sharp knocks. A lady wearing a tight blue skirt that went down to her knees answered. She wore her brownish gray hair up in a bun making here look like a business woman. She placed a wrinkled hand on my shoulder and pulled me inside.
"Hello my name is Miss Orchester", She said.
"Alex", I replied. She shut the door behind me. The house smelled old and musty. To the right was a living room with old furniture and small television. In front of me was a staircase and next to it doorway which led into the kitchen.
"Where is Mr. Myers", I asked. Miss Orchester looked confused.
"Who", she asked.
"Principle Myers", I said again "I'm here for summer school". A look of recognition crossed her face.
"Oh, he isn't here yet. In the meantime you can go upstairs, some of the girls are already here". I went upstairs. To the left was the bathroom, in front of me a door which I'm guessing led to the attack, and to the right a door that led to the bedroom. When I got in everybody was already in bed. It was nine o'clock, so I just laid down on a bed that wasn't being occupied.
Three weeks, that's how long I will be here. Three weeks of nothing but torture. However something didn't seem to fit. Why was the school so far away? Who were all theses people? Why hasn't principle Myers showed up yet?
After about thirty minutes, I figured I wouldn't be getting any sleep. I sat up and pulled my legs over the side of the bed. I walked across the hall to the bathroom. The tile flooring was cold on my bare feet. I stared at my reflection in the mirror. My long brown hair and hazel eyes. I turned on the sink and bent down to take a sip when I noticed the water came out brown.
"Ugh" I murmured and turned it off. I walked down stairs. The house was creepy at night, it gave a strange glow, the only light on was in the kitchen. I walked into the living room, a clip bored sat on the couch under a pillow I pulled it out from underneath. It had names written on it, all ten of our names. I didn't see anyone I knew on the list. I scanned it one more time:
Mallory Grace, Shian Rushman, Delly Jorien, Isabel Simon, Alex Hoffmen, Elizabeth Gurson.
I was cut of from reading by a thump coming from the kitchen. It got closer and closer until I was sure it was right behind me. I turned and ended up face to face with Miss Orchester.
"I suggest you go back upstairs. Now", She whispered in an unfriendly tone. Without saying a word I headed back upstairs.
After a while a feel asleep. That night I had the same dream I had on the bus. Except with something new it was a voice that was almost like a snake it said only four words. Don't fall for it.
