Chapter 13: Misled Heart

"Faster updates" you said, "I'll work harder" you said.... I can hear my flaws crashing down on me! 😂😂😭  How long has it been??? Jesus. Hey everyone, I'm very sorry for the huge delay. I haven't felt like writing since I got back from my trip (I know, long time ago). I'm trying to not get distracted here, but it's really hard 😂 No excuses, I'm plain lazy.... But I'm slowly picking up the inspiration again! And it's unfair to you guys, I know. Thank you for keeping my books in your libraries, it means a lot to me <3 Also, 11k reads!!! That's crazy! Previously:

Luffy, does Nami's heart rate seem a little... Odd to you?" Robin asked.

I looked at her surprised, of course it was! It was probably all over the place! Why was she...?

Luffy placed a hand on my chest, and closed his eyes, as if he was in deep thought. His face looked a little confused, which confused me as well.

"Right now, it feels pretty normal to me." Luffy stated.

What?!

Nami's Pov:

I looked at Luffy surprised and confused. My heart was beating fast! Or, at least pretty abnormally. I turned to look at Robin, and she seemed quite confused herself. I then turned back to Luffy, who just kept staring at me with great thought, I quickly looked down afterwards.

"Really? Not even a little di-" Robin began to say, but I cut in.

"Ok, well, I think I'll just go get some water." I said as I ran out of room, and into the kitchen.

Robin's Pov:

I found it peculiar that Luffy didn't seem to catch Nami's heart rate, maybe Luffy doesn't see the difference in heart rate, but, it doesn't take a genius to figure that out. I wondered what Luffy actually felt...

Nami sure left early, she's probably feeling as confused as I was at that point..  I should go check on her, I thought.

Just before I could go, Luffy stood up and stopped me.

"I'll go check on her, she seems troubled." Luffy said.

I looked at him a little surprised, but nodded  in agreement.

"Yeah, sure, go ahead!" I told him.

And with that, Luffy left the room and went to go look for Nami.

"He'll do for now..." I said quietly.

Nami's Pov:

I quickly walked to kitchen, and pulled out some water from the fridge. Honestly, I didn't need any water, I just wanted to leave that scene as fast as possible. What does Robin have planned in that head of hers? I just hope that neither one of them come after-

"Nami! Are you in here?" Luffy asked before he barged right in.

Startled, I turned towards him, shouldn't have been surprised really.
