Okay, so I'm a little upset and taken back, because someone (Who I am not going to name, because I don't want to upset them more) has private-messaged me, and said that my work is very abusive and should be changed immeditally - but I think that it can't be that abusive if I have people who are still reading and voting for it. And I think that if you think a story is abusive, then you shouldn't read it... Am I right? Anyways, enough of that, on with the next chapter.

Chapter TWENTY-THREE
Austin
I was now sitting up on the edge of my bed, with my hands tugging my hair in desperation.
How can she say no? I’m her mate! Even if she didn’t know I was, she would feel that I was meant for her!
I heard Tristan and Dale walk through the door, and start swearing as they saw the lounge. I knew that they would be pissed off about it, but I didn’t think about it as I destroyed the furniture.
“What the Hell Austin!” Dale yelled, and both of them burst through my door with angry expressions on their mugs.
When I looked up at them, they both saw the pain on my face, and the hurt in my eyes.
“She rejected me... I asked her to be my girlfriend... and she said no...” I murmured, hearing my voice crack through half of what I said.
Tristan looked completely confused. “But she’s your mate, she must feel that you’re meant for to be together” Tristan argued, understanding my point exactly.
“She said that she doesn’t do open relationships...” I told them both timidly.
When I looked up at them both, Dale was giving me a pointed glare, and Tristan was just coldly glaring at me.
“Austin, what did you do...?” Dale asked slowly, like he had figured something out.
I remembered why she said that, and realized how bad what I did really was.
“I-uh... um... I kinda... kissed-” I fumbled, but Tristan interrupted before I could continue. “If you say some other girls name and not ‘Blair’, I am going to punch you in the face” he told me truthfully.
I looked down at my dangling feet in shame, not speaking a word.
I felt a sharp thwack across the back of my head, knocking me forward off the bed a bit; my hand retracted to my head, rubbing when Tristan had hit me.
“Ow!” I cried, glaring at Tristan angrily.
He scoffed, before saying, “Glad it hurt.” He ran a hand through his hair and sighed, before asking, “Who was it?”
I cleared my voice too loudly for it to be anything good, but once again, Tristan interrupted me before I got a word out, “And don’t you dare say Nikki.”
And once again, I looked down at ground in shame.
Another whack was delivered to the back of my head.
“Christ Austin! I have been putting in all these good things about you, and you go and ruin it!” he growled at me.
I growled back more menacingly, unconsciously letting my alpha leak in. Tristan immediately bowed his head, and was silent.
“Sorry Trist... I didn’t think...” I murmured, standing up and walking away, planning on going for a run through forest just across from the school – I needed to cool off, before I changed in the dorm.
