'My Sister' Dans POV

*Dans P.O.V*

It's so good to have her back, I think as a look over at her face resting on my shoulder.

Her medium length brown hair tickles my arm as she adjust her position in her sleep.

When she left I told everyone that she would come 'home' but no one believed that she would, because they thought that she would get caught up in the city.

Even spending ten minutes with her you know she is meant for the country.

The year she left we made a pact to always be there for each other, I can see she has a secret that's bothering her. It has obviously hurt her, it was probably one of those city boys, cheated in her or something. If it is I'll personally kill him. No-one hurts my 'sister'.

By the way she keeps adjusting her position I know she's in a restless sleep. I study her face a little longer and then look up and lock eyes with Nate.

Nate is like my best mate.

He's always been thereby even when Katie had to leave. The only other family I have is my Dad. Him and mum are divorced and I rarely see her, that's how I like it though.

Katie's Dad is my godfather and he has always been one of my role models. Before they left, I would spend hours upon hours with her Dad in the maintenance shed, helping fix motorbikes, tractors and utes. Sometimes I would just watch, but I still learnt a lot that way as well.

Nate and I are literally inseparable, it was the same with Katie and I until she moved away.

Nate looks down at Katie, smiles and then looks back to me and the cheeky grin stretches across his face. We seem to have a silent understanding.

We are both stoked she is back. Nate and Katie were never that close but the three of us still used to cause mischief.

When we finally pull into Owen's driveway it's dark, Nate jumps out to grab her bags and I pick her up bridal style and carry her int the large house, the house consists of a large kitchen and dinning room that are joint together and then a lounge room with a big fire place, following that a hallway and five bedrooms, three with double beds and two with five single beds in each.

There is so many beds just in cause all the farm hands have to stay the night, like before we head to cattle sales or rodeos that are far away. I carry Katie into her bedroom and Beth, Owens wife is standing there with the covers pulled back. After I lay her down Nate comes in with her bags. We say goodnight and head out the door.

'You're welcome to stay the night,' Beth says in a tired yet welcoming voice.

I look at Nate and we nod in agreement

'We better be getting home, thank you very much though Beth.'

We walk out the door towards the machinery shed where the rest of the boys are waiting. We all turn on our motorbikes and pull on our helmets, Charlie, Axel and Ash all climb into the old Toyota hillux.

As they take off Axel looks up and sees Katie's bedroom light turn on.

Sorry this chapter is short but it's really just a filler. Already written 9 chapters but I am going to continue posting them one at a time so I have time to edit them. I am having so much fun writing this book! :) I hope if you are reading it you are enjoying it. Any feedback or constructive criticism would be great :)
