A Love Story

Question

It has been ten weeks since Annabelle and Peter met. Annabelle was anxiously awaiting Peter to ask her to be his girlfriend, summer was almost over. Peter craved to ask Annabelle but didn't know if she would say yes. He didn't want to ruin their friendship.

Peter also asked his dad to give Annabelle a summer job. He agreed, Annabelle is now working as Peter's stable hand on the ranch. She absolutely loves it there. She feels her mother's presence. She is finally happy, the horses are like therapy to her and the best part is that she does it with Peter.

{A couple of days later}

"Annabelle come on we're going to be late!" Annabelle was getting ready for the activity Peter planned for them. She had no idea what it was. She was super excited. "I'm coming Peter, don't be so rushed."

Peter was stressed, tonight he was pulling all his courage together and he was going to ask Annabelle." The next moment Annabelle walked out of the treehouse and down the stairs. She looked magnificent. Peter was speechless.

"Annabelle you look amazing." Annabelle blushed. No boy has ever made her feel like Peter does. "Thanks Peter. Now what do you have planned?"

"You'll see." Is all Peter said.

Peter once again blindfolded Annabelle and swept er off her feet. He took her far away. She had no idea where she was at all.

When Peter finally took of her blindfold she saw a bonfire, picnic blanket and a lovely dinner. Annabell was near tears. She finally, in a long time, felt loved. Out of pure joy she kissed Peter. When she realised what she has done she pulled away and was as red as an apple.

Peter looked at her and held her close. Embracing her like he will never let go. He speaked softly, "Annabelle , the real reason I brought you here on this lovely night was to ask you a very important question."Annabelle looked deep into Peter's eyes.

"Do I make you happy?"
"Very."

"Do you like working with me at the farm?"
"That is the best time of my day."

"Do you love me?"
Annabelle smiled, she has been waiting for this question for quite a while. "With all my heart."

Peter felt much better, now he knows Annabelle felt the same.

He only had one question left.

"Dear Annabelle, you make me extremely happy, and I know I can make you happy to. I don't want any other boy to sweep you from under my feet."

Annabelle was tense, she wanted to scream {Peter, just cut to the chase. I will be your girlfriend. Ask already!}

"Annabelle will you," Peter sank to his knees "... marry me?"
