A Love Story

At work

Annabelle was wondering if she should go to work. She didn't want to see Peter yet. She was still angry and felt morose that things didn't work out.

She decided that she wasn't going to let Peter keep her from her work, she loved horses and that's the only way she could afford to keep living in the tree house.

She stood up, pulled her hair into a ponytail and put on her new khaki clothes she got a week ago when Peter drove her to the mall. She started walking to the stables and started to brush out Zenia, her favourite horse.

Annabelle was just starting to relax when Peter came in, "Annabelle, we need to talk. Thing can't go on like this. I still have feelings for you and they won't go away."

"Peter, I told you to not bother me again. I don't want this anymore, you've been great. I still like you. But after that scene at the bonfire, I don't think I really want more at the moment."

Peter got the message and left not looking very happy. He could kill himself for the way he messed up! He sat and thought that he was going to move on, Annabelle has clearly done that. He had a lot of girls that would love being his girlfriend. "I think I'll call Jessie right now!" He said to himself.

Jessie was a hot blonde that would die to go out with Peter, she had a ton of boys wanting to go out with her as well. That is sure to make Annabelle jealous.

The next day Annabelle once again started her morning by brushing out Zenia, then she suddenly saw Peter sitting under a tree with a hot blonde. She was super jealous! How could he do that? Just yesterday he said that he still had feelings for her!

Peter and Jessie sat under the tree, Jessie sat on Peter's lap, running her fingers through his hair. While she was talking to him, his eyes fell on Annabelle, he could see that she was hurt.

"Peter, babe, did you listen?" He didn't realise that Jessie stood up and held his hand gesturing for him to stand up. "Sorry babe, I didn't quite get that!" Jessie rolled her eyes and repeated what she said.

Annabelle pulled herself together, if Peter can move on so can she. Just as she thought that Daniel came in, she met Daniel on her first day of the job. He was Peter's brother and not bad looking.

"Daniel, will you please come help me?" Annabelle asked even though she didn't need any. "Anything for this pretty lady."
Daniel flirted openly with Annabelle since he heard what happened between Annabelle and Peter.

"So Annabelle," Daniel began while untying Zenia, "are you busy tonight? I know this great spot we could go grab a bite..."

Annabelle smiled, this is just what she needed, some new company to get her mind off Peter. "Sure I would like that very much! I'll meet you here at say seven?" Daniel looked satisfied that she said yes, "Sure. I'll be waiting! See you." He walked away smiling.

{That night at seven}

Daniel was standing over at Zenia's stable waiting for Annabelle to arrive when Peter suddenly walked around the corner. "Hey Daniel, what are you doing here this late?" Daniel was a little stressed, "Just waiting for someone." Peter lifted his eyebrow, "Must be someone special if she got you to look this nice, may I ask who?"

"I don't think your going to like it much if I tell you..." Peter smiled, "Come on bro, it can't be that bad! Right?" "Well here she comes..." Annabelle walked towards Daniel and pecked him on the lips, she was wearing a skinny jean with cowboy boots and a white crop top that ended above her belly button.

Peter stood bewildered, was this his Annabelle? Kissing his brother? "Oh hi Peter, didn't even see you there! Daniel shall we go?" Daniel handed Annabelle a dozen red roses. "Yes I made a reservation for half past."

Peter fumed when Annabelle took Daniels hand and led him to his car. Daniel looked over his shoulder and mouthed, sorry. He caught up next to Annabelle and opened her car door.

Peter was going to kill Daniel when he came home tonight!
