Zayn Malik lets out a breath of relief as he takes a quick look in his rear view mirror and no longer sees the black Cadillac Escalade following him.

He steps on the gas pedal with a bit more force, making sure to not go too far over the speed limit. He wants to make sure he's completely lost the car that had been following him ever since he left his home.

Zayn knows he's going to be in big trouble with his father for purposely losing his guards but he's so over being followed everywhere he decides to go.

His dad knows this, knows Zayn hates seeing big burly men following him everywhere he went. So it's really no surprise that he finally decided on purposely getting rid of the men and losing them in the backed up traffic.

He smiles a triumphant grin as he slows his car back to the regular speed limit and losing his tense posture. He doesn't even know where exactly he was headed but he did know he didn't want to be followed.

He turns the radio volume up a bit more and just keeps on driving, he'll deal with the consequences later. But for now- he's humming along to the song that's playing with a content smile on his face.

It's almost thirty minutes later when his happiness is tainted because of his car that decides to make a noise that even Zayn(who knows absolute naught about cars, thanks) knows isn't a sound a car should be making.

He slows the car down before pulling over in a food market parking lot, he'd rather not have his car break down on him while he's driving.

Zayn groans and curses under his breath about bad karma and how he should've listened to his dad about finally getting rid of his old jeep wrangler while he reaches out for his phone.

He can see the food market sign and thanks his lucky stars when he sees the name of the town by the markets name.

He's quick to open up his browser and type in Rutherford, NJ auto repair shops after checking to make sure his location was on.

Zayn searches through(there's only really about three shops that are closest to where he is) and gets the directions to the first one that pops up. Zayn deems it safe enough for him to drive to the shop when he sees it's not actually that far but he still pleads under his breath the whole way to the shop.

Zayn steps out of his car and walks straight into the empty garage before his eyes land on a guy who looks about twenty years old lounging back on his chair behind the desk reading what looks to be a PlayBoy magazine.

"Um, excuse me."

Zayn watches in amusement as the guy almost falls out of his chair, clearly startled by Zayn's presence.

"What the fu- dude! I-I- hi! What can I do for you?" The guy-who's work tee has Dylan sewn in, clears his throat before he chuckles weakly as he throws the magazine to the floor.

"My car- it's, I'm not really sure what's wrong with it but- it's making a weird noise." Zayn tells him.

"Right, okay? Um, why don't you take me to your car so I can hear the sound yeah?" Dylan replies, following after Zayn when the raven-haired eighteen year old nods his head and walks back to his car.

He turns the car back on and as he does so he listens to the noise he heard earlier sound again, getting louder when he presses the gas.

Zayn watches through his windshield as Dylan picks up the hood to his car, instructing Zayn to press lightly on the gas again.

It doesn't take long for Dylan to look before he's closing the hood and walking back into the garage, signaling Zayn to drive up his car into the garage parking.
