When Saturday comes around, after an exhausting week filled with assignments after assignments, Zayn finally gets to go on his first date with Liam.

He's in Liam's corvette as the older mechanic drives them to wherever it is he's planned for them. "Hope you don't mind if we head to New Jersey?"

Zayn looks away from the window to Liam and shrugs his shoulders before smirking, "It's fine. We having our date at your shop or?"

Liam snorts, shaking his head, "Although it is pretty amazing there, no. I've got somewhere else in mind actually."

Zayn just smiles and nods his head. He fiddles with his fingers on his lap when silence fills the car with the radio playing low. He doesn't really know what to say to Liam, thinks he's definitely awkward when it comes to starting conversation, especially when it's with someone who you know nothing about but you've already had sëx with.

"How was your uh, week?" Liam asks, breaking the silence after clearing his throat.

Zayn grins, glad he isn't the only one who's feeling the awkward silence in the car. "It was fine, lots of school work though. How was yours?"

"Eh. Wasn't the best, my shop didn't get too much action this week." Liam replies, shrugging his shoulders.

Throughout the rest of the almost two hour long car drive Zayn lets Liam talk all about his love for fixing cars and his shop. He listens idly as Liam talks about how he used to always visit his grandpa's shop and watch in amazement as he brought the cars back to life(according to Liam's seven year old mind).

When Liam finally stops the car, Zayn's eyes scan their destination, a smile appearing on his face as he looks around. "What is this place?"

Zayn turns to the side to face Liam who's already turned his car off and is rubbing the back of his neck nervously before shrugging his shoulders, "My friend's girlfriend told me about this place and I'm not- like good... at planning dates really so,"

They both step out of the car and Zayn's eyes light up as he catches sight of everything going on around them. "Is this like a...?"

"It's a strawberry festival." Liam says, shrugging his shoulders and scratching the scruff on his pink-tinted cheeks.

Zayn smiles fondly at how nervous Liam looks about bringing him here. "I like it. I've never been on such a cute first date before."

Liam just chuckles before shaking his head, "Good. I'm glad you like this. I probably would've done something boring like... drinks at a bar or something."

Zayn just smiles at Liam before taking his outstretched hand and making their way into the festival. Zayn looks in awe at all the different types of strawberry treats around him.

"Do you want some ice cream or a milkshake?" Liam asks him, pointing towards the tent serving the strawberry milkshakes.

Zayn looks at the tent before nodding his head towards the booth beside it, "How about some slushies?"

Liam nods his head before mumbling I'll be right back to Zayn as he heads towards the booth. Zayn stays where he is and just looks around at the festival.

He catches sight of three different moon bounces, and kids getting pony rides. He chuckles to himself because he can't help but think about how cute this date idea is.

He's so glad Liam picked their first date to be somewhere other than getting drinks at a bar or dinner and a movie.

"It's a strawberry lemonade slush, hope that's okay?" Liam says, handing over the beverage to Zayn.
