Beep, beep, beep! Emma's alarm clock blared loudly. She groaned and rolled over in her bed lazily and hit the snooze button. Emma was too tired from her restless night thinking about her first day at a new high school, in a new town. After a few minutes of laying in bed, Emma's mother came in "Emma, it's your first day of school, get up!" Her mother yelled. Emma slowly got out of bed and walked over to her closet where she pulled out a grey tank top, a pair of jeans, and her red leather jacket. "You're really going to wear that?" Her older sister Kathryn snickered. "Why wouldn't I?" Emma asked. Kathryn just rolled her eyes and walked down stairs, already ready to begin her senior year... Again. Emma threw on her clothes and went to the bathroom to brush her beautiful blond hair and put on a light layer of makeup. She went back to her room, got her bag ready, and put on her swan necklace. She went downstairs to find her mom in the kitchen with a beautiful breakfast made just for her. "Good morning honey!" Mary Margaret said with a smile. "What's so great about it?" Emma complained. She sat down at the table and began eating. Her mother sat down across the table from her and looked at Emma while she ate. "Emma, I know moving so much is hard on you, but it's your senior year! Please try and enjoy it." She said in a sincere voice. "Alright." Emma answered, and she grabbed her bag off the floor and walked out the door with Kathryn following. "You're such a dork!" Her older sister said with a laugh. "And whose the one repeating their senior year?" Emma said with a smile. They got to Emma's yellow bug and drove to school.

At School
~~~~~
Emma parked her car in one of the only spots left in the small student parking lot. She got out of the car with her bag of books and walked toward the school. Emma was looking down as she walked so she wouldn't draw too much attention to herself. She didn't see the brunette walking in front of her and she accidentally bumped her knocking her over. Emma caught the girl before she fell to the ground. "I'm so sorry." Emma said nervously as she helped the brunette up. The girl stared at Emma "dang she's cute!" The girl thought in her head, but instead of being nice and thanking Emma she glared at her. "Watch where you're going!" She said picking her things off the ground before heading to the school. "Great! What a perfect first impression!" Emma thought with a sigh. Emma stood up, gathering her books off the ground when another brunette bent down and helped her pick up the books. She picked up one in particular. "Beauty and the beast? That's my favorite!" She said in a french accent handing the book back to Emma. "I'm belle. Are you new around here?" Belle asked. Emma nodded. Before speaking. "I'm Emma." She said quietly. "Well Emma, I'll show you around." Belle said with a warm smile. The two walked up to the administrative office to get their schedules. As soon as they received their schedules, they walked out of the office, only to be greeted by a tall thin brunette with red highlights in her hair. She hugged Belle and introduced herself to Emma. "Hi I'm Ruby! What's your schedule?" She said asking both Belle and Emma. Emma handed her schedule to Ruby. Ruby snatched it and quickly scanned over it. "We have all but foreign language together!" Ruby said excitedly, then she did the same thing with Belle. "Looks like you two have the same exact schedule." Ruby finally said a bit sad. "What language are you taking?" Belle asked Ruby. "Español!" Ruby said laughing. "Ugh I'm stuck with French." Emma groaned. "What's wrong with that?" Belle asked looking at Emma. "Nothing. I just can't pronounce anything in French." Emma said. Ruby threw her arm around Emma. "Well lucky for you, Belle is fluent in French, so you lucked out!" Ruby exclaimed they all laughed. Just then the bell rang and they all ran off to their first class, chemistry. "Everyone, take your seats!" The teacher ordered. Emma, Ruby, and Belle all found seats next to each other, but before Emma could sit down, the brunette she bumped into earlier slammed her books on the desk. "No one but me sits here!" The girl said angrily. "Regina, let her sit there!" Ruby yelled back. Emma turned to Ruby. "It's okay, I'll just move." Emma said walking over to the last empty desk in the back of the room. Regina smirked at Emma, before she sat down at the desk. Emma sighed and she took out her notebook and pen to begin taking notes. The next two classes flew by, and before she knew it, it was lunch time. The three of them found a table and took out their lunches, but not before Regina came over with her own posse, which to Emma's surprise, Kathryn was a part of. "This is our table so move." Regina said stubbornly. Kathryn looked at Regina. "Gina, don't talk to my sister that way!" Kathryn said nervously. Regina's head snapped around to glare at Kathryn. "This dork is your sister?" Regina questioned. Kathryn could feel her face becoming red with embarrassment and she nodded. "Fine!" Regina said in a huff and spun around to find another table. "Thank you" Emma mouthed to her sister, who smiled at Emma, before turning around and following Regina to a new table. "What's her problem?" Emma asked turning to Ruby and Belle. "She's the cheer captain." Ruby said with a grumble. "And the most popular, and probably the biggest bitch in the school." Belle added also with a grumble. "What did she do to you!" Emma asked. "She took my boyfriend away from me." Belle said sadly. After that, they had a few minutes of awkward silence. "I can't believe my sister is friends with her." Emma said quietly. Belle and Ruby looked at each other and sighed right as the bell rang again. Their next class was French, so Belle and Emma walked to class together. They arrived to class only to find that Regina was there, as well as Emma's sister. The two of the were sitting in a corner giggling acting like best friends. Once everyone was seated the teacher began to talk. "Sorry everyone, but in this class we have assigned seats, everyone up." She said. Everyone groaned but did what they were asked. The teacher began calling out names and pointing to their seats. "Emma Swan" the teacher said pointing to a seat up front. She sat down holding her breath and praying that Regina wouldn't be her desk partner. "Regina Mills" the teacher said pointing to the seat next to Emma. Emma groaned silently "shit!" She thought. Regina walked over to her chair, clearly annoyed. Once everyone was seated, Emma looked at Belle who was lucky to get paired up with Kathryn. They exchanged looks, before the teacher continued. "Your desk partner will be your best friend in this class for the next year. You will doing everything together, so be nice to each other." She said glaring directly at Regina as she said this. Regina rolled her eyes. "Don't expect to get anything out of me Miss Swan. Just because your sister is my best friend, doesn't mean you will ever be a friend of mine." Regina hissed. Emma nodded, but couldn't help but think about how seductive her voice sounded. The rest of the class, Emma couldn't get Regina out of her mind, and before she knew it, class was over, and there was one class left... PE her favorite. Once the final bell of the day rang, Emma walked around campus looking for Kathryn. She found her with Regina of course standing in front of the bathroom. Emma walked up to the two of them forcing a smile "hi" she said nervously. "Hey em!" Kathryn said putting an arm around her little sister. Regina's face softened a bit and Emma thought she saw a hint of a smile forming on her lips when she looked at Emma, but knowing Regina and how she already hated her, emma shook it out of her head. "I'll see ya tomorrow Gina!" said walking away with Emma. They got to Emma's bug and began driving home. "What's up with her?" Emma asked. "Oh you know, trying to stay tough while also being the prettiest and most attractive girl in school." Kat answered smiling.
When they got home, they immediately got out of the car and went inside. "Hi girls! How was your first day?" Their mother asked "it was great!" Kathryn answered but Emma just stayed silent. "Emma?" Her mom prodded her to answer. "It was okay." She answered quietly. She quickly ran upstairs to her bedroom before her mother could ask her anymore questions. She locked the door and pulled out her diary and began to write.
